Fun little scooter for the kids. My son loves the spark action. But the spark pads do wear out after repeated use. This is to be expected, so just be prepared and buy extra when you buy the scooter. It does come with one extra. The Razor is better made then the cheap knock offs, so I think it is worth the price. Oh, and even though it has the spark pad, the brake on the rear wheel is still there and easy to use. Wear your helmet and pads and enjoy!

My son loves this scooter. He had never been on a scooter but wanted one really bad. I read the reviews on several and felt good about this purchase. I still do! He loves being able to make sparks and has become very good at balancing on a scooter. Definitely get extra spark pads. You will need them!

Purchased for a 9 year olds birthday. He loves it! Easy to assemble, sturdy when riding.

We surprised our sons with 2 of these super cool scooters. My 9 year old rode his scooter off and on for 3 hours in our driveway and on the asphalt neighborhood road. Within 3 hours of ownership, he had totally worn the spark cartridge down to the "replace" line. That was pretty disappointing for all of us. Maybe our expectations were too high, but it seems like we received something faulty. Our second scooter that our 6 year old was riding has not worn down hardly at all which was what I was expecting. Maybe this should only be for younger elementary age kids? Our 9 year old only weights 70 pounds, so he is not anywhere near the weight limit. I ordered a replacement cartridge, so we'll try again. Amazon didn't give me the option to contact the seller, so Razor, if you are reading this, did we receive a faulty spark cartridge or were my expectations too high?

When our six year old grandson opened his new Razor scooter on Christmas morning, his reaction was immediate and so wonderful to see. The scooter was high on his wish list so when he finally found it under Nuna's and Pap Pap's Christmas tree, it was like all his wishes had come true. Right away he started riding it around our first floor. It looks like a really smooth ride. My son put on the spark cartridge and sent our grandson outside to ride his new scooter on the driveway. So cool to see the sparks fly when he applied the rear break. I ordered two replacement cartridges so he will have sparks flying for a long time to come! It took a while to get the scooter. Amazon notified me that the scooter would be delayed and provided information regarding the distribution company if any further contact became necessary. I also purchased the one year warranty from Amazon as a safety precaution if anything malfunction. I haven't heard any complaints about the quality of the scooter from our son or grandson. The smile of happiness on our grandson's face merited a five star review.

PURCHASED A RAZOR SCOOTER FOR THE YOUNGER ONE, AGED 6. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY AND COMPACTNESS OF THE SCOOTER. IT FOLDS UP SO YOU CAN STICK IT IN A SMALL CAR TRUNK. THIS ONE CAME IN A LARGER BOX, WITH THE SCOOTER PACKED INSIDE A SMALLER BOX. GOOD THING, SINCE THE LARGER BOX WAS DAMAGED. I EXPECT THIS ONE TO BE AS GOOD AS THE ONE WE PURCHASED EARLIER.

I bought this scooter for my grandson's 6th birthday. He's the envy of the neighborhood. He loves it and the only drawback I see with it is that the cartridge attachment that makes the "sparks" doesn't last very long. The scooter came with one attached plus an extra and they were used up within a couple weeks. The cartridges cost around $15 for 2 so it can become costly to keep replacing them. He doesn't seem to want to ride it unless he can dazzle the big kids on the block with the sparks. I think once the spark novelty wears off he'll be satisfied to just ride the scooter (hope so anyway).
