I purchased the soil moisture meter from this company as a Christmas gift for our 17-year-old daughter, who has a deep love for plants. To say that she loved the gift would be an understatement. She was genuinely surprised and excited because she didn't even know that such a device existed. Although she has only just started using the moisture meter, it has already made a positive impression. The device connects easily to her plants, allowing her to gather valuable data about the moisture levels in the soil. This information is something she enjoys combing through, as it helps her understand the specific needs of each plant and ensure they are getting the right amount of water. The simplicity of the device's design and functionality makes it user-friendly, even for beginners. The clear and concise readings provided by the meter allow our daughter to make informed decisions about watering her plants, preventing overwatering or underwatering. Overall, this soil moisture meter has been a perfect gift for our plant-loving daughter. Mine died quickly. I've removed the app. Would not recommend. Better, cheaper, options available. I wish they worked. I bought a set of Reyke monitors and then bought a set of these to try in part because they also show soil fertilizer level. I'm using them outdoors, dry summer, in 1 foot deep standing boxes. I found them hard to set up and hard to connect requiring many attempts to reconnect before success whether inside or our next to the device, even when holding the device in hand. Moisture levels regularly show low % moisture when soil is moist to touch or much higher when tested with other meters (I have several direct reading meters that give results comparable to each other, but different from this meter). I bought three meters of this brand. They give different results when placed side- by- side. Soil fertility remains low even after applying water souluable fertilizer. I don't trust these. The app is of limited value. You must associate each meter with a specific target plant. The app does not include the plant varieties I plant and I can't seem to add any plants to the database. It is difficult to exit the app without signing out. The permissions required to use the app are excessive for a poor quality app. I do appreciate that the app shows a history of records, though I'm not currently confident in the ?daily average? results. I would prefer a more open app, friendlier permissions with easy opt out provisions, a longer probe to at least 8" depth, more consistent results, better connection success. I do not recommend this version. The Reyke is cheaper and more useful though it lacks fertilizer checks and history available to your phone. I'll be looking for improved versions.

The instructions are kind of garbage and direct you to scan a QR code to download the app. DO NOT DO THIS! I have no idea what that app is, or where that QR code is directing you, but my phone threw up an immediate red flag. I recommend only installing apps that are in the app store. Luckily, I didn't give up and read the product description again and saw that it works with both the "Mi Home" app and "Flowercare". Mi Flora is difficult. I was never able to find the sensor to add, so I gave up...another worthless account created out there in the ether. Flowercare was much easier to use, and I was able to add the sensor pretty easily. In Home Assistant it shows up as a Xiaomi device (both of those apps are Xiaomi apps BTW). I'm pretty sure I installed Xiaomi BLE, and then configured the device. About 5 mins later it stopped sending data. Again, ready to send it back. However, I also had the phone app open (which is nice BTW). It can only send to one device at a time. When I closed the phone app, it started sending to HA again. All in all, I'm pleased with it.

If you have Home Assistant and BLE working, this product is awesome. The iPhone app is not bad but it would be nice to allow for historical graphs. The graphing capability for home assistant includes luminance, microsiemens per centimeter, moisture, and temperature.

The device seems ok. I can see it functioning with a bluetooth scanner. however, as others have said, the app is useless. I can't even register a user account, which is required. As for using it with Mi Home, I have not found a way to do so. if you want to hack the thing, buy 1, but I really didn't want good piece of hardware that I had to write code for.

It's great when it connects. But I get a "Connection failed" about 80% if the time. I wished it worked.

I've only had these a few days but I love them. I'm hopeful for the sensor to work long term because they are great. Maybe too early to tell but so far so good.

Compré 2. La aplicación es muy vieja y no está actualizada, está en chino sin traducción. La app no funciona en teléfono nuevos.

Cero drama. Empezó a funcionar antes de que yo me diera cuenta. Apenas le quité la pestaña de plástico de la batería, Home Assistant ya me estaba alertando de un dispositivo nuevo. Venía con el firmware más actual. Solo tuve que activar el Bluetooth en el Shelly de la puerta principal, porque el Home Assistant está en otro cuarto. La integracion se llama Xiaomi BLE. Por otra parte, la app propia está muy bien hecha: te da los parámetros adecuados según el tipo de planta y creo que te alerta cuando algo anda mal. Toma en cuenta que al menos que tengas un hub xiaomi de Bluetooth o algo, vas a tener que estar *cerca* con el telefono para leer los valores (20 metros quizás)

En la descripción dicen que la app tiene más de 3000 plantas . Sin embargo no está la que tengo y no puedo hacer mediciones así sin seleccionar una planta por lo tanto tuve que elegir una al azar para usar su producto

No da mediciones precisas y la app no permite notificaciones a menos de que estes en China.
