You won't know exactly which shim you need till you reassemble and torque the caps down. I usually miss it on at least 2 of the 4. If you have a full set like this, you can just swap them out and torque down again. You'll be glad you bought the full set! They look and act just like factory shims. Good quality. No rust or corrosion present, there was a little grease on all of them. I'll never need to buy this again in my lifetime, but I wouldn't hesitate to go with Hot Cams if I happen to live long enough to need more.

Used to adjust valves on CRF150R. Excellent metal quality, great shim selection, great laser markings. And bonus: they provide you with a little eye loop magnifier to see the numbers. Wish they would provide four of each size instead of three, but I get the business model behind the quantity.

What I like is you are getting 3 of ever size, now there is another set for $32 but you get only 1 shim, I figure but this set because if you run into having two that are the same size needed your not going to have it in the other deal, you will pay about $5 and up for another shim, plus wait time, this is a no Brainer, just like any tool, yiu might not use it all the time but when you need it it there, just go for buying this one, it will pay off dkwn tbe road and it's made very well, good luck.

These shims will shim very shimmingly.

Works well, definitely needed if you want to do your own valve work. These fit a KLX250s fine. More sizes than you will ever need.... Only reason i took off 1 star is because i measured the ones I needed with a micrometer and i was measuring a .01-.02mm variation from the printed shim size (whereas my stock shims were right on the money to the .000). That is not altogether bad as you rarely need two of the exact same shim. With a micrometer you can swap shims and get your clearances all on the money and even. If you were smart you can measure your clearance and just order the size you need, but if you dont want to wait around for that, then definitely buy this set ahead of time

Products seems old and shims in the kit were used before. Red hinge is also broken and missing.

Great value and loads of options. If you're considering just buying a couple from your local shop, don't. Always get the pack even when it seems expensive. It saves you a headache when the shims bed in or if you mess up calculations by a few millimeters and you need to swap it out for the next one up or down.
