Excellent! Delivered quickly. Healthy colony with the queen and a good number of workers. Set up looks good and was easy for my daughter to do herself. The ants settled into their new home quickly and she is always excited and interested to see what new tunnels they've dug. Its also provided a great learning opportunity for her and shes full of ant information for us. Very happy

This item is well made and includes everything you need to get started. The ant house was well packaged and the live ants were securely packaged too. I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase. Set up is simple and there are tutorial videos available. My ant farm is now set up and within a few minutes the ants began to dig their nest. Amazing product, healthy ants, prompt delivery. No complaints.

The ants arrived healthy, there was a mix of adults, juveniles and larvae as well as a magnificent Queen. It was simple to assemble. The sand to go in the nest section is dry so I wet the layers. Not sure if this was necessary but figured tunnels would be hard with dry sand. I put the tube in the forage area and let them make their own way out. Within the day they had begun digging, the queen went underground and the workers moved all the babies. The set comes with sugar water and I put some pieces of fruit in the forage box too. Looking forward to the network emerging soon!

This is a good starter kit. Everything came as described, and it's great to be able to start a colony so easily with everything you need in one box. I'd slightly question the design of the formicarium. It's great that you can see all the tunnels made by the ants, but ants, and especially queens, shy away from the light and prefer the darkness found under the ground. To simulate this, most of the time we have a sheet of card on either side of the 'underground' division of the formicarium. I'd also question the price. I think this is very expensive for what you get, which is essentially some sand, some ants, and a small plastic box that a 15 year old could probably make in a materials class at school. But then, it is quite an unusual and specialist piece of equipment, so I suppose that justifies the price to some extent. If you are at all crafty, I'd recommend having a go at making a formicarium yourself, finding some sand, and finding a queen or buying one online for much less than this. Finally I'd add that the instructions are quite poorly translated, amusing so, but also often confusing. You can find better ant care advice online.

Order arrived couple of days earlier than expected. Queen ant healthy with 9 workers and eggs. Farm is great size for ants to grow colony and nice accessories. Difficult part was getting sand damp throughout and would advise adding a few drops of water every 2-3 inches added as adding water after filled was difficult. Overall very happy with purchase and ants moved into new home within 30 minutes with first chamber made within 12 hrs. Would buy again if needed.

We bought this for my son for his 10th birthday and it has been a huge hit with the whole family! It is fascinating to see how the ants organise themselves so quickly. Set up was so easy as everything we needed was there and a very helpful instruction video.

Dies ist meine erste Ameisenfarm und was soll ich sagen, ich bin mehr als begeistert und fasziniert. Zunächst einmal wurde alles sauber verpackt, ausreichend Luftpolster sorgten im Paket absolut für Schutz und Sicherheit. Die kleinen Krabbler waren sicher geschützt in dicken schwarzem Moosgummi ummantelt. Die Installation ist denkbar einfach, das Video reicht im Grunde aus, dennoch ist auch eine ausführliche Anleitung per QR Code aufrufbar. Die Übersetzung ist teils zwar recht amüsant, dennoch verständlich. Das Röhrchen enthielt 1 Königin mit schätzungsweise ca 20 Arbeiterinnen, zählen war kaum möglich 😅 Brut war auch schon vorhanden. Der untere Teil des Reagenzglases ist mit Wasser gefüllt und mit Watte abgedichtet. (Zu meiner persönlichen Faszination, scheinbar bin ich dumm wie Dosenbrot, aber soviel Funktion hätte ich Watte nicht zugetraut 🤣) dieses dient als Wasserquelle. Ich persönlich werde es die ersten Wochen in der Arena lassen, bis die Ameisen den neuen Wassertrog sicher verstanden u angenommen haben (oder bis ich verstanden habe, dass sie es verstanden haben 😅) außerdem war reichlich Futter in Form von Körnern mit im Reagenzröhrchen. Ca 10 std nach Öffnung des Glases ist die Königin ins Nest gezogen, die sind unfass flink im Ausbau ihrer Tunnel. Ein Wasser und ein Futtertrog befindet sich ebenfalls im Lieferumfang, ebenso eine proteinhaltige Zuckerlösung als Nahrungsergänzung. Zum Schluss noch etwas Dekoration in Form von buntem Sand u Steinen. Alles in allem bin ich sehr positiv überrascht u bisher sehr zufrieden. Der Preis schein mir auch echt fair, auch wenn es "nur" Ameisen sind, sind es immerhin Tiere u alle Materialien machen einen sehr wertigen u gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Ich würde diese Ameisenfarm jederzeit jeden Interessenten empfehlen!
