A Must-Have for Anyone Growing Tomatoes or Climbing Plants!
I recently bought these plant clips to help keep my tomatoes and other climbing plants under control, and they’ve honestly made gardening a lot easier. My vines tend to get a little wild once the season really gets going, and tying them up with string was always a bit of a hassle. These clips make it quick and simple to secure the vines to the trellis without squeezing or damaging the stems. They snap on easily and hold everything upright so the plants can grow the way they’re supposed to. One thing I really like is how lightweight but sturdy they are. They don’t feel flimsy at all, yet they’re gentle enough that they don’t crush the plant stems. I’ve been using them on tomatoes, but they also work great for grape vines and a few other climbing vegetables in my garden. The design keeps the plants supported while still giving them enough room to grow and move naturally. Having a big pack is also a huge plus. When the garden starts taking off, you end up needing way more clips than you think, so it’s nice not having to ration them. I’ve been clipping vines all over my trellis system and still have plenty left for later in the season. Overall, these clips are one of those small garden tools that make a surprisingly big difference. They’re easy to use, they keep plants growing upright and healthier, and they save a lot of time compared to messing around with string or twist ties. If you grow tomatoes or any climbing plants, these are definitely worth keeping in your gardening bin!

Really great clip, but
This style of clip is great for tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, etc. The first ones I got lasted 2-3 seasons in very bright hot sunshine. This next bag however are all breaking a lot easier, but still work so well. Great for any gardener to have in their magic back of supplies.

Lots of them
I bought a huge amount of these because I have raspberries blueberries tomatoes, peppers, all kinds of things that need to be clipped up. They’re well-made clear and I think I’m going to really like them and use them a lot.

Challenging to close
I bought a different brand of these clips last year, but these looked nearly identical and the price was better—so I gave them a try. Unfortunately, like with most things, you get what you pay for. I’m not sure what it is about these specific clips, but they’re surprisingly difficult to close. The clip just doesn’t want to fit into the opening, and it takes more effort than it should. I also noticed a lot of clips had excess plastic still attached—doesn’t affect function much, but it’s not a great look and doesn’t give me much confidence in the overall quality. That said, these clips are still pretty versatile and lightweight, like others in this style. I really like that you can attach two together (clipping the tabs on opposite ends to form a figure-8). That lets me secure one end to the trellis and the other to the plant without tugging it too close. It’s a small feature, but super helpful! Just a heads-up: these clips are on the smaller side, so they’re great for thinner stems but won’t work well for thicker limbs—probably anything over an inch.

Some of the better clips have little teeth on the clamp portion to make sure the support line is gripped well and can support some of the plant weight. This clip doesn't have that and the line slides through it easily making it useless. I've tried different materials of line, including a fairly waxy one, but it just doesn't grab it.
