Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the desertcarts, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny Review: One of the best super hero movies I think, best Wonder Woman - I stand by my title, this is by far one of the best super hero movies of all time. Gal Gadot is perfect as Wonder Woman however it goes beyond that; every character brought their all and were on their A-game, the script was perfectly written, the score and music were awesome, and there was so much heart in this movie. I love that this is set in Workd War 1 and Chris Pine is a perfect Steve Trevor aka love interest for Diana; they have incredible chemistry in battle and in romantic/emotional scenes. Their romance doesn't feel rushed or paper thin either, it's intense. Chris Pine's group of military personnel that goes with him are also cool to watch and add to the movie. I like that the beginning explains Wonder Woman's origins but doesn't become an origin story. Her home island is where Steve Trevor crashes his plane, then he convinces Wonder Woman to fight with him against evil (she's consumed with finding and defeating Ares, god of war). Her mother reluctantly banishes her and she fights the Germans and also plays her role as Diana Prince brilliantly too; she's new to society and it shows in this movie. In a way, I think Steve Trevor brings out Diana's humanity being a Demigod and all. The plot is actually a very interesting one, the German villains are truly evil here. The action here is also amazing .Towards the end of the movie when the true villain is revealed, Ares (who disguises himself very well and really tries to mess with Diana's mind) , there's also the sacrifice that Steve Trevor makes to help stop Ares and the Germans is just a tearjerker and you can feel Wonder Woman's heartbreak. This movie shows how and why Diana decides to become a hero and is more than just an action packed CGI fest with no story. I think director Patty Jenkins made Gal Gadot the iconic Wonder Woman with this movie even though Linda Carter was great during her time in the role. I think this will stand the test of time, even though Snyders universe is done and they'll likely recast Wonder Woman in James Gunn's universe, this is a wonderful, top shelf Wonder Woman Review: This is one of the best super hero films I have seen! - I really enjoyed this film. What a great story and the cast was superb. The background provided about Wonder Woman’s early life really added to the story. Add in the beauty of Gal Gadot, portraying Wonder Woman, and you have a winner. The movie has first class CGI and the movie was expertly directed and filmed. This is one of the best super hero films I have seen and I own them all. Wonder Woman comes out of hiding to help mankind to win and stop WWI. It is such a great story line that it keeps you on the edge of your seat just watching the film unwind. You keep wondering how one woman can make a difference in such a massive global war. Well, just sit back and let her show you how! I love the film and I rated it 5 stars. I also used my free digital copy to get the HDX Vudu version of the digital movie. I gave up on Apple films as I can play Vudu films on my Apple products, my Android products and on my Roku. This film is so good that I have been recommending it to all of my family and friends to see it. This is the best super hero film I have seen and it makes me want to see more of them made this way! I purchased the BluRay version and I got the Bluray disc, a DVD disc, and a digital copy that I got to receive a Vudu HDX version of the movie. The BluRay video and audio quality was perfect and even streaming the HDX version was great quality. This is a good way to get this movie. What I liked about this film is that the special effects were good but it combined in a good cast, direction and story line. I found the film entertaining and Wonder Woman was played perfectly by Gal Gadot. She portrayed a young desertcart Princess that was innocent and yet had super human powers and fighting skills. The majority of the cast was first class but she carried the film with her beauty, poise and acting skill! This is one character that can carry on a series of these films on her own talents or with other superhero characters. I cant wait for the next film to come out, I hope Gal Gadot continues to be in these films! When the next film comes out, I hope they maintain the quality of the storyline and the character. D.C. Comics has a real hit with this film and the main star and they should keep the action going in more films immediately. This film is a must see event with a great cast and storyline. Never have I seen a relatively new actress make such a smashing entrance in a movie as Gal Gadot. I really enjoyed this film and I am glad it is in our movie library to re-watch! If you like action movies and films about super hero’s then this is one film you should own!

A great origin story
Wonder Woman was the follow-up movie to Batman v. Superman and is told mostly as a flashback telling Diana's origin story. There are a couple of scenes set in the present that ties both to Batman v. Superman and the upcoming (at that point) Justice League movie, but most of this movie is set in the past. Most of the story in this movie is set during World War I. There are some scenes with a young Diana growing up on Themyscira, but the bulk of the story comes after Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) accidentally ends up in Themyscira while fleeing the Germans. He tells Diana about the war, and she is convinced that it is the doing of the god Aries, and sets out to find and kill Aries. From there it is mostly a period piece with Diana trying to integrate into early 1900s society, help fight in battles, and aid Trevor and his team to find a weapon being developed by an evil German doctor. There is a strong supporting cast including Robin Wright, Connie Nielson, David Thewlis, and other recognizable character actors. For those who get the 4K disc, it is a two-disc set with just the movie on the UHD disc, and all the extras on a regular blu ray disc. The movie looks and sounds great in UHD, especially if you have a large screen and a soundbar. There are over two-hours worth of extras including several behind-the-scenes features on making the movie, as well as several features on the overall character of Wonder Woman, and how the character has evolved over time. Overall, the movie is great. It has a great blend of action and humor. It has a message that it delivers without getting too preachy. Gal Gadot does a great job with the character. The script was good and all of the actors did a great job with their parts. It is probably still the best movie in the DCEU and is definitely worth the pick-up.

Experience the Wonder
With the respectable success in the DCEU, Wonder Woman becomes its savior in a movie that has been a long time coming. Ever since Lynda Carter’s run in the 1970s TV show finished and the numerous superhero movies that followed, many had wondered – pun not intended, whether DC was going to make a Wonder Woman movie as decades of gorgeous, tall brunettes, even blondes and redheads were willing to dye their hair to become Wonder Woman in an instant. Finally, she arrived in Dawn of Justice with Gal Gadot in a cameo as the Amazing Amazon, but this entry is no cameo but a full-length feature film, and it is magnificent! Taking some time after the events of Dawn of Justice, this movie takes the relatively insignificant scenes of Wonder Woman’s involvement in the movie and expands upon it. The mysterious picture was taken by Lex Luthor showing the lovely Diana Prince, antiquities dealer is an Amazonian warrior and he had intended to exploit her. Thankfully her new friend Bruce Wayne had procured the original negative and brought it back. But its more than just a picture and proof of her secret identity. As this movie shows, it meant the whole world to her. Told in a complete flashback from her time as a child to her adult life, Diana of Themiscyra is an Amazon warrior princess whose people are a race of mighty female warriors who were created by the Ancient Greek gods to become mankind’s protectors but one god had risen against all the gods to corrupt mankind and destroy its protectors. So, the Amazons hid away in a Paradise Island, protected from the scourges of mankind and the evil god until the time was right to send forward a protector. That time seems to arrive in the form of a pilot named Steve Trevor as he fights in the Great War as Diana takes it upon herself to save the world. Joining him in his fight Diana lives among mankind as Diana Prince and then comes to their rescue as Wonder Woman. The movie is many times better than Dawn of Justice as Gal Gadot is more than the last minute back up in a movie that was poorly made. But under director Patty Jenkins, this film and its lead shine brighter than the sun on Themiscyra. Patty is not Zack Snyder who fumbled the proverbial ball, she succeeds in making Wonder Woman a vital part of the DCEU. With a cast of phenomenal performers joining Gal Gadot. Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Chris Pine, David Thewlis, and more. Considered to be the greatest female superhero alive, expectations for Wonder Woman were considerably high, thankfully it's that and more. It's more than convincing for not just one, but an army of gorgeous women to be powerful warriors as depicted in this film. The action is phenomenal and the storytelling is phenomenal. From a great working of the mythology of the Amazons to Wonder Woman living among mankind. As well as the epic conclusion, which I admit I had my suspicions but was truly amazed. The best part was Gal Gadot, as she truly becomes the character. I was frightened that the movie would fail to depict her because most people remember the first part instead of the second part of her name. A wonder yes in that she’s strong, ferocious, and smart. She is still a woman, meaning she’s physically beautiful as well as being kind, funny, sweet, and passionate. She fights drunkards but also gushes at the sight of a baby or happily enjoys something as simple as ice cream and snow. I cannot praise Gal and Patty for doing the character of Wonder Woman justice. The Blu-ray is great on either normal or 3D. Its special features are a mixed bag. I don’t like some of the documentaries that overdo feminism. But I do like the behind the scenes footage on how they made the Amazons come to life turning all those gorgeous athletes into mighty warriors. The gag reel was amazing as Gal is supremely funny and charming. I also enjoy the deleted scenes, one of which I’m sure was meant to be a mid-credits scene that alluded to the next movie Justice League. All in all, this film proved to show that DCEU can make a great movie and can be certain that a sequel will follow. Truly a wonder to behold.

Best movie to come out of DC (or Marvel!) in years
Wonder Woman is a very good comic-book/hero movie, but it's also just a GOOD MOVIE. The visual effects are, of course, outstanding. The acting ranges from passable to excellent, depending on the actor. Some of the writing choices are a bit baffling. It was necessary to the plot for Diana to be somewhat naive about the world, but some of the ways they demonstrated her naivete were incongruent with the rest of the character, and so stood out as puzzling. (How is Diana fluent in over a hundred languages, but has never heard of the concept of marriage?) It seemed Diana's ignorance was consistently used as a plot device, rather than having been developed as an actual character flaw for her to overcome. We assume she's gotten over this ignorance in modern times, but we don't really know, at least from this movie. I must also point out one particular scene, that I feel was really poorly handed by the writers. One character very obviously has PTSD. When the group is going to set off on further adventure, he says he might stay behind. Diana encourages him to stay with the group. Ostensibly this was written to be interpreted as "he feels useless, let's boost his morale by convincing him to come with us" - but as someone who is familiar with PTSD, I interpreted it as "he doesn't want to charge head-long into battle anymore, we should let him heal." This is very much a personal thing, of course, but I felt it was a bit tone-deaf on the part of the writers. All that said, this is still one of the best comic-book based movies to come out in a long time. When most of the major comic-book movies are focused on the big blue sky laser that's going to destroy the world, Wonder Woman focuses on humanity's capacity for evil (and good). It shows that few people are all-good or all-bad, and that humanity is more complex than the "Good Versus Evil" that many simplistic comic book stories would have people believe. This movie also manages to introduce a robust cast of characters, without feeling like there are too many to keep track of. I did actually find myself caring about (at least some of) the characters, and what happened to them. Also, in a time when Marvel and DC seem uninterested in making unique music decisions, Wonder Woman has a unique, easily identifiable sound to it. Think about it: you can hum songs from Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and other large movie franchises. But Marvel and DC have not fostered the same type of rich, musical soundscape that other franchises have. Even when a character DOES have specific theme music, it's always over-shadowed by dialogue or action, so it's practically impossible to hear (Captain America). Wonder Woman's guitar riff is a refreshing return to using sound-tracks to their fullest extent. (Or an attempt to.) I highly recommend this movie for anyone and everyone! You don't need to be a "comic book movie" fan to enjoy this!

One of the Best Superhero Movies Ever Made, Period.
Finally: an excellent superhero movie starring a woman, directed by a woman. Wonder Woman is played very well by Gal Gadot, who is badass in this movie. In real life, she put in about 9 months of hardcore training and gained 17 lbs. of pure muscle. The actors all trained hard, learning different fighting styles, and the action scenes are better for it. Also in real life, Gal Gadot was obviously pregnant while still filming her own fighting stunts. So they put a sheet over her belly and blue screened it out, which is pretty incredible. She fought in the Israeli forces as well as competed as a beauty queen. She is perfect in this role, showing the right balance between kind, beautiful, idealistic naivete and raw strength and determined inner fire. She tells it like it is and has super strong morals and superhero powers to back them up. She has some really cool powers and is able to block bullets with the flick of her metal cuff! Chris Pine is very charming and likeable as the main supporting character. I believe the cast was well chosen, despite the many pre-film changes. The director originally wasn't sure about Gal Gadot, but she soon began to warm up to her. Patti Jenkins is an awesome, hard working, inspiring director. This movie really REALLY puts her on the map, even though she already was, and she deserves props for her hard work. Not only did she accomplish something tremendous that's never really been done before by a woman, she did it better than most: Wonder Woman is one of the best superhero movies of all time. It's not THE best, but it has everything there to keep you at the edge of your seat the whole time. There are only a handful of superhero movies that give you a real sense of satisfaction afterwards, and many of them simply don't make the mark. This film is packed with memorable action scenes, beautiful cinematography, a few laughs, plenty of drama, a compelling story, romance, exciting music, and good acting. Girls and guys, women and men, everyone can enjoy this movie and get something out of it. I'm glad it's rated PG-13 rather than being overly tame, and overall, Wonder Woman is an excellent movie. I'm pretty impressed. It met and exceeded my expectations. You should definitely watch it!

Focus DC
This is the best DC movie they have ever created. Almost every other DC movie has something in it I don't like. In this, the director did a great job of setting the scene and mood for the entire movie. The actors did a great job of drawing us into the movie. The writers did a fantastic job of bringing great dialog that struck emotion and kept me on edge. I have to say I think DC doesn't just have a winner here they struck a chord at least with me. I would love to see more Greek mythology and the Universe this movie brings. I was afraid I would like this movie, but as it turns out I love this movie and I just don't trust DC to keep getting it right. I'm cautious to be drawn in and become attached to this character because I feel they will use Wonder Woman to gain traction with other over exposed characters from the DC universe. My best advice for DC, give the others a rest for a bit and focus on developing Wonder Woman. If you want to bring other characters in do it with characters we don't see much of or haven't in a long time. Leave Batman and Superman for a bit and focus on some others because I'd wager you've got more great characters like Wonder Woman we are begging to see. MORE PLEASE! If you do anything from here for the love of the DC Universe PLEASE don't shove Batman and Superman back on the big screen yet again and please do NOT throw Wonder Woman in with them more than you already have. This character deserves her own spotlight with out being tarnished by over exposed characters. The box office has spoken and so have the fans of the DC Universe we are still out here. Use Wonder Woman as a do over and build up other characters while you have our attention. Then use the momentum to the build up they provide to reintroduce Batman and Superman sometime in the distant future something like ten years I think I might be able to stomach... maybe. I still wish you wouldn't have thrown Wonder Woman in with that awful Batman Vs. Superman movie. The past is the past though so let's leave it there and move forward from here! Last but certainly not least! Gal Gadot what a wonderful job you did in this movie. At no point did I ever think your heart was not in this movie because you clearly gave it everything you had and sent a great message at the same time! You most definitely are Wonder Woman! Keep up the fantastic work!

OK Movie. A Bit Long at 2H,21M. Slightly Silly Storyline.
A bit long, at 2 hours 21 minutes, it was near the maximum I can stand to see a fictional movie. I find I have difficulty seeing fictional movies now. I found myself wondering when it will end after 90 minutes. I think it's probably because of today's availability of Amazon's documentaries, YouTube, and other websites. Because documentaries and YouTube how-to's are true and give you knowledge for your time, they are more interesting than made-up stories don't you think? WARNING: SPOILERS! This newest Wonder Woman was a bit silly. In this latest series, they turn Wonder Woman into a "God." LOL. The whole chemical enhancement thing for General Ludendorff was also silly. General Ludendorff was a real general during WW1. Generals Hindenburg and Ludendorff ran the German side of the war. After the war, Ludendorff was involved in two putsches, that's German for coup d’état, in 1920 and 1923 to overthrow the German civilian government. He also wrote "peace was merely an interval between wars." With the 2003-today Iraq War, thanks to President Bush and Vice-President Cheney, and nuclear North Korea now, he may have been right. If you want to see one of the many interesting Amazon documentaries, try seeing The Forgotten Man regarding Wikileaks. Better yet, you should see A Good American since the subject matter affects all of us. The best documentary I have ever seen is PBS's Frontline United States of Secrets, Parts One and Two . You can see it for free in HD on PBS's site if you create a free account and log in.
