Clarins makes my favorite lip oils - I try every new one that comes out but always come back to these. They are hydrating, non-greasy and wear evenly. The black shade is my favorite as it wears like a MLBB berry tone, but it’s very sheer with minimal sparkle. Highly recommended.

I love this lip oil! it keeps your lips hydrated all day long and the color is gorgeous! It is not sticky which I know a lot of people don't like myself included! My mom stole mine so I have to buy another but definitely worth the money!

This Clarins lip oil is smooth, hydrating, and leaves a pretty gloss that feels more like skincare than makeup. I picked the Pitaya shade, which is bold in the bottle, but on the lips, it’s a sheer, flattering tint that’s just enough to brighten my face. The scent is sweet and subtle (I actually love it), and the applicator is plush and easy to use. With consistent use, my lips feel noticeably softer, so I’d say it is effective as a nourishing treatment, not just for shine. That said, the longevity is moderate. The gloss does wear off with regular use (and definitely after eating), so I do reapply a few times a day. But because it feels good going on and makes my lips look and feel healthy, I really don’t mind. It’s not ultra-long-lasting, but it’s beautiful, comfortable, and makes my lips feel cared for.

Coverage is sheer and enhancing rather than opaque. It’s designed to work with your natural lip tone, not cover it, which makes it incredibly easy to wear. It can be worn alone for a fresh, natural look or layered over other lip products to add dimension and shine. The color effect is one of my favorite things about it. Because it reacts with your pH, it creates a subtle, personalized tint that makes your lips look healthier and more defined without being obvious. It’s a very effortless, polished finish. Longevity is very good for a lip oil. It maintains hydration and shine longer than most glosses and fades evenly without leaving lips feeling dry. What I really appreciate — especially compared to the Givenchy version I’ve used for years — is the hydration. The Givenchy gloss gives a beautiful effect, but this one actually nourishes the lips in a noticeable way. My lips feel softer and more comfortable even after it wears off. Stickiness is essentially nonexistent. It has that glossy shine without the usual downsides, which makes it ideal for everyday use. The packaging also feels elevated and substantial, with that classic Clarins aesthetic. In terms of value, this sits comfortably in the luxury category, but the performance and hydration make it feel worth it — especially if you want something that looks good and treats your lips at the same time. Overall, this is a beautifully formulated lip oil that combines shine, hydration, and a unique pH-adaptive color effect. If you’re intrigued by black glosses but want something wearable and flattering, this is absolutely worth trying.

I am looking for a lip oil to meet a few criteria: non-tacky formula, hydrating, & beautifully tinted (no glitter). Clarinet lip oil has a nice doe-foot applicator that picked up more than enough product to cover lips in one go. Applies smoothly with a non-tacky formula. The berry tint is so lovely. My wish for this product and the reason I deducted 2 stars is for a nourishing effect after the lips have absorbed the oil to feel nourished and hydrated. This lip oil left my lips feeling dry. I found myself applying more product. In two weeks of use I have gone through half the tube. For this reason I will not purchase again.

LOVE this lip oil, probably my favorite of all that i’ve tried. Super nice on lips and smells good.
