A BIG BOX BUILDING BOOK, Clear and explicit. Lots of photos. Words a non-professional can understand. Realistic cutting angles (not "12.36degrees" but all basics like 45 and 90. Data tables that make sense. Tool lists and explanations. This book was filled with confidence-building insights. Now I can get out there and build Build BUILD!

This edition is 12 years old so there is not a lot of information about composites and hidden fasteners. If you are not looking for any of that this is a great reference for the DIYer

this book was very nice. great picture and detail special for someone who use to just slap thing together. this book is great for the old time builder and the new guy who wants to look like they know what they are doing. you won't regret buying this book.

What can I say it's Black and Decker... You'll always get a basic understanding of a project!

I purchased 3 deck books. The Home Depot 123 Creative Homeowner Ultimate Guide Black and Decker the complete guide to decks Although there was a lot of good information in the Home Depot 123, it got the bronze medal compared to the other two.

Great book with helpful pictures and great material lists.

It seems strange having a book with pictures instead of a "pin" on the tablet. Works great to sit on the old deck and imagine something new. Great pictures and directions.

The Book was a Christmas Present for my Husband. So far he’s really enjoying reading it. He wants to build a deck this summer. It’s really going to help him decide how to build it

examples to look at and the illustrations helped me out alot.
