The best filtered water you’ll ever have
I looked at all the knock offs. I try to save money when I can. I just ordered a $35 over the toilet shelf organizer because I didn’t care about the bathroom so much. So I’m totally willing to go cheap. No other filter company was willing to make the claim that you could put freshwater from a river or a lake into the filter and have drinkable water. I thought about the reason that the other filters were cheaper which should be cheap labor, cheaper materials, etc. And I found out the city I live was adding fluoride and you could taste the chlorine. I was buying my water at the street for $.50 a gallon. And I found myself traveling a lot. So I had to do something. The final bill was under $600. I bought the arsenic and fluoride filters along with the kit. I’m about a month now. I have zero regrets. I’m so glad I didn’t get a knock off and then I got the real thing. The water taste great. It’s hard for me to drink water sometimes. I try to bless it. I’ve bought organize stuff to try to change the vibrational frequency of it. I do what I can to water to make it taste as best as possible. And I just forget to do those things with this water because it taste so good already. I still want to do those things with the water, but I forget. I know my water is awesome. I never have to worry about the quality. I use it for everything. And it feels awesome that when I have guests over, I know that they’re getting awesome quality water. You can definitely save a lot of money by going with another filter company that will filter the water and do a pretty good job. And maybe you don’t care about the quality of the water as far as taste. Or maybe having a non-electric solution doesn’t matter to you or being able to filter freshwater that’s nearby isn’t something that concerns you. But if you wanna make a purchase decision and then never have to think about it ever again, this is definitely a smart use of your money.

Highly recommend
Best filtration system! Water tastes clean. Easy to assemble. Is a perfect size for our company’s small waiting room.

Major upgrade from the brita pitcher
I was a little worried by some of the negative reviews, but I have to say this product is far superior than the brita pitcher. The travel size 1.5 gallon is perfect for 2-4 ppl. Got this as a gift for my parents and have been enjoying it for a week now. The water tastes so clean and the stainless keeps it at a cool temp, it reminds me of what perhaps drinking an iceberg would taste like. The taste is so clean and pure it even makes coffees and teas taste better. There is zero rubber taste like a few reviews mentioned (perhaps they assembled it wrong?) speaking of which be very careful screwing in the filters so they don’t strip. The stainless steel water level spout is a must. It does take about an hour to filter, but so far weve been filling it at night before bed and we’ve never run out. Also be careful not to overfill, as it will leak, but it’s easy to see when lower compartment is full simply lift off the top compartment and check the level and you will be able to learn to read your spout leveler quickly. Overall this is a major upgrade from the brita pitcher when it comes to taste and you won’t have to fill it as often and your filtered water doesn’t sit in plastic. Also the filters can last years. Very happy with this purchase should have bought sooner! Product came double packaged and had zero dents or imperfections.

Quality Product Worth Buying
The quality of the steel and accessories is so much better than the cheaper options. And the filters actually produce clean water. I'm glad I finally invested in the Berkey, because no alternatives worked for me. I am concerned about buying replacement filters, but I trust that won't be necessary for some time. To be honest, I was most impressed with the instructions provided in the kit. It was easy to set up the Berkey and it filters water much faster than I expected. (And the red dye test worked - they provided dye for that). The container can be full in an hour or so. I have over-filled it a couple of times despite having the gauge spigot thing. (I don't fault the product for that). I regret not getting a metal stand to put it on for a quick wipe up of water spills. It sits nicely on the cube shelf I have, with the spigot hanging over the edge for easy access to water. But when I have a spill I have to move the whole thing to clean up the little spill. (Keep it mind it's too tall to sit on a kitchen shelf with cabinets. It's 19 inches tall and you refill it from the top. The metal stand will add additional height).

Not worth the money!
We've used this system for six months now on a daily basis. All we've ran through it has been Bottled Water from the grocery store which is already filtered. The minerals in the bottled water were enough to slow the filtration process so much that I'm now having to replace the two elements inside. They do not last as long as the manufacturer claims. Our Brita system works much better and the water tastes way better! Deeply regret buying this unit as it is large and was expensive for what it does! I am Very disappointed with it's performance and it does not live up to their claims! The stainless steel build is nice though and it is easy to use, it just takes longer and longer for the water to pass through the elements to where now it just drips slowly taking hours for one gallon to make it through!

Fantastic product for humans and pets
I absolutely love my Berkey. The water tastes great and my cat is drinking a lot more water. She is more alert and her fur is super soft. She keeps going back to her bowl to drink, which she never did with such frequency. I am also feeling better with overall less joint pain and better skin. I think it is because I am drinking much more water because it tastes good and because there are less contaminants. I highly highly recommend this product.

Berkey is an awesome product. Could be less expensive
I will always Berkey I have had one for 11 years & another for 3 years. Filters seem a lot some times to replace. But, the filters last long enough for a 9 -12 months with a 5 member family in desert. New versions online copying Berkey are available. Time for Berkey to lower prices to compete. Was always five stars. Competitive price points with very similar products have brought it down to 4 stars.

$600 and I got worse tasting water than my $30 britta filter. It also leaks like crazy not sure if mine was just defective but I followed the setup video step by step and it just leaks and caused me lots of water damage what a waste of money. Was excited because I know that britta doesn't filter out as much as berkey filters but man this thing is just an overpriced piece of junk
