I’m so happy that I ignored bad reviews! Fits perfectly, installation together with removing the original one took me 2 minutes, didn’t affect the quality of the radio. People who asking for instruction for this, how are you able to survive in this world?!

it works fine - it's stubby - now I can run the MINI through a car wash now without having to remember to take the long 18" whip off. I am not sure how AM reception compares to the longer whip but AM reception is better than no antenna at all - we don't listen to AM that much so I can't really make any strong declarations beyond that... installation was easy though I had to provide my own metric hex to put the M6 stud in - this comes with M5 and M6 threaded studs so you have to make sure which will mate with your car's antenna socket. I think one could do this without tightening the stud in to the Stubby with an L-key... I had the tools on hand and at this point in life I think having metric tools should be a given so the fact that CravenSpeed didn't include two sizes of one-use metric L hex keys is just fine.

This is a well made antenna, of obvious high quality. It comes with two different screws to fit variations in the antenna connector size on the MINI so it should fit any model. I did not notice any signal degradation (broadcast radio only). It's cute and functional. 2013-10-30 --Update after 1 month-- Still like the antenna. I also purchased the MINI Cooper Genuine Factory Car Cover at the same time, and to my delight the Stubby fits perfectly inside the little pocket sewn in the cover for the antenna. I have a MINI roof rack, and the little antenna does not interfere at all with stuff on the rack. I have noticed some slight loss of reception, contrary to my earlier report. Weaker AM stations will fade slightly when going through areas that are hostile to good reception (like a certain freeway interchange near my work), and at sundown when stations must reduce their power, reception pretty much vanishes and is replaced by electrical noise for the smaller and more distant stations. Powerful and local stations, no problem even at night. I have actually seen improved FM performance at long distances. Note that the OEM antenna also performed poorly with weak stations at night, so it's not really a fault with the Stubby. Highly recommended.

OMG!! Can I jus say.... It's Awwwweeeessooomme!! We have this on our 2010 Mini Cooper. By the way, we live on Oahu (Hawaii) and we love listening to the Maui radio station. This lil bugger surprised me tremendously about how good the reception was for that station! When we get past a certain point on the freeway the reception would dramatically dim and then cut out pretty quick. With this Stubby I was expecting it to cut out at the same point on the freeway. Well, you ask... Did it?? Heck no, it didn't!! WooHoo!! It kept playing the radio even when we got closer to downtown Honolulu (tall buildings and plenty of other electronics). Yeeeaaaahhhh!! I was sooo happy I was bouncing around singing to the music. There are other stations that still catch or have a lot better reception in areas that usually it'll be almost nonexistent. Ok, granted there are some other stations have the ups and downs with the reception. Hey, you can't have an antenna that has it all. They never claimed to have perfect reception anyways. You gotta consider what's around you (ie. mountains, buildings, metal structures, electronics, etc.) that could get in the way of reception. Love the look and reception and I'm gonna get one for our 2008 Colorado next!
