I was VERY frustrated with my brand new laptop built-in microphone -- tired of leaning over my keyboard (during video meetings, the only thing others could see was the top of my head -- either that or they could not hear me at all!!). So for a very modest price I bought this microphone -- changed the entire experience! It is simple, easy to install, and works like a champ for my needs. I believe it is not for those who have high demands, perhaps such as gamers, or music mixers or audio book recording, etc. where truly exceptional quality is necessary. But for family and friends doing video meetings, it is just what the doctor ordered. Consequently I marked it only 3 stars for gaming. For "thickness" I did the same, though I have no idea what thickness is with respect to a microphone????

It would be hard not to be pleased with the Klim Talk Tabletop Microphone. I Just had to plug it into a USB port and it was ready to go. I find the On/Off switch on the base very handy. It also is great to have the Red LED showing the mic is on. As far as how the Mic works? The quality of the sound will blow you away. To finish, this Klim Talk show me allot about the company. They have hit the targets! A Product that works and sounds great, a quality made product that is also very stylish, and at a very reasonable price! Thank you Klim for thinking about consumers. Due to the lovely pandemic that has been ongoing for the last few months, remote communication has been made a necessary in the interest of safety. I'm cool with that, but as a result I've needed to acquire a device that's more dedicated to sound quality than what my phone has to offer while also allowing me to retain the freedom of using my speakers instead of some cheap headset. Thankfully, this microphone ended up being a fantastic budget solution that not only sounds decent but looks appealing. It required virtually no setup as the plug-and-play works perfectly (i.e. no driver setup necessary). I first tested it out in a class that was oriented around public speaking, and my professor was both pleased with the audio levels and sound quality. I would have to say, as far as faculty goes, a communications professor's endorsement is as good as you're going to get. Subsequent testing of my voice at different audio levels in Audacity confirms that the quality is certainly good for the price range. It's not perfect, and you are likely going to hear feedback, but it would be present to the extent commonly found in cheap, poorly made microphones. Given your Internet connection isn't a mess, you will be able to communicate clearly with your friends, family, colleagues, and/or faculty. As mentioned before, it does look fairly nice out of the box, and the bottom is weighted enough to where the reasonably long cord will not pull or drag it from where you have it placed. It will mostly likely fit well on your desk and greatly compliment whatever setup you might have going. While I don't know how great the microphone will be over an extended period of time, it has provided a strong early impression. I'll update the review as necessary should any issues or points to mention arise in the future, but as it stands I am pleased with the performance and value of this product.

I just got the mic today - plugged it in to my laptop usb and it started working immediately. I did have an issue where the power button wouldn't keep the red light on (the power) and I had to hold the button down for a while to get it to start working. Now it seems to turn on and off fine. HERE is my tip - when I tested the mic via the "mic tester" site, I could hear quite a buzz in the background of my recording. I searched all over youtube to see what I could do - all of those ideas include downloading realtek software (which many of the comments said really messed up their computers) or stripping the mic wires to ground them to something..way more than I would dare try to do. What I tried, and it worked perfectly, was to plug my laptop into a power strip plug (the ones you use to ground equipment in case of lightning). Since one user had talked about grounding the wire I thought why not try a power strip - and it works great! No more buzzing! I am so happy this worked - much easier than the other ideas. I hope it helps some else!! Added later: I didn't test this, but I also stopped using an extension cord with the mic and perhaps that also was causing the buzzing...so if you're using an extension cord, try not using that first to see if that helps...then try the power strip that is grounded if you still have buzzing.

Come funzionalità è valido, si interfaccia facilmente essendo un plug&play a tutti gli effetti. il pulsante di attivazione del microfono lo rende utile durante lo smart working laddove serve accendere e spegnere il microfono a seconda delle situazioni. consigliato.

Update vom 08.09.2023: Ich habe das Mikro jetzt schon öfters in Meetings verwendet und jetzt verstehe ich auch die Platzierung des Kabels an der Seite. So kann man es bis an den Rand des Monitors schieben, ohne dass das Kabel stört. War also vorher schon nicht wirklich störend und jetzt kapier ich die Design-Entscheidung auch. Wirklich gutes Mikro, absolute Kauf-Empfehlung Originaltext: Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem USB Standmikrofon! Es erfüllt nicht nur meine Erwartungen, sondern übertrifft sie sogar. Die Verbindung ist kinderleicht – einfach in den USB-Port stecken und schon kann es losgehen. Keine komplizierte Einrichtung oder Treiberinstallation, sondern direkt loslegen. 👍 ❤️ Praktischer An- und Ausschaltknopf direkt am Standfuß! ❤️ Ein absolutes Highlight für mich ist der Mikrofon An- und Ausschaltknopf am Standfuß. Das macht die Bedienung so viel einfacher! Kein umschalten mehr über die Software (z.B. Zoom), um das Mikrofon stummzuschalten. Mit diesem praktischen Feature kann ich problemlos während meiner Meetings mein Mikro ausmachen, ohne Maus oder Keyboard zu berühren. Good sound but not directional, it will pick up sound from the whole room... To me the annoying part is that the LED is on when mic is active. It turns off when mic is muted - to me, the opposite makes more sense.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix ! Le son est très bon et il est capté même de très loin ! Le produit semble solide et la tige flexible offre un bon maintien. Le seul défaut est la lumière de la DEL (LED) rouge du temoin lumineux qui est un peu trop forte. Un peu trop de tension dans la DEL et/ou une DEL qui concentre trop la lumière dans les yeux. Mais c'est un détail !

Prodotto di buona fattura, funziona correttamente e il materiale della base è solido, un giusto peso per tenerlo in posizione senza farlo cadere. La base è fatta con un materiale plastico molto piacevole al tatto. Il cavo USB è lungo 180 cm, comodo per posizionare il microfono dove si vuole. Unico neo, a mio avviso, l'attacco del cavo alla basetta, bisogna stare attenti a non muoverlo troppo perché si può spezzare, avrei messo l'attacco sotto la basetta come nei telefoni tanto per capirsi, per evitare rotture del cavo. Comunque sono soddisfatto, anche per il tasto di spegnimento illuminato.
