Perfect - the before and after says it all!
Great kit for the Commander. It sits level and just the perfect amount taller - my Jeep looks awesome now, even with the factory Hulk wheels and tires. As soon as I get the wheels and tires in I'll post a picture. Mine is a base 2007 with the 3.7L (yeah I know, but gotta work with what you got!) going with 17x8 Pro Comp 7105's with Goodyear Duratracs, 265/70/17. Based on my research on various Jeep forums, it seems that is the most tire you can squeeze in there without rubbing after this lift goes in. I've never installed a lift or otherwise worked on any suspension components on any vehicle before. Thankfully, I have a friend who has (Grand Cherokee, so same setup) and solicited his help/shop. With air tools and spring compressors we knocked this out in less than 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend trying it any other way. One thing we DID NOT do is grind down the unthreaded tip portion of the factory stud on the front struts. We found if you just put the spacer on the studs partway and start the nuts, there is plenty of clearance even after tightening them down all the way without grinding them down. One thing that leaves something to be desired is the instructions, but I think that's already been covered. Wasn't too much of a hindrance obviously, but a few things, like maybe a more detailed section on how to assemble the cups on the rear, would be nice. One other thing that has already been mentioned, the coating on the spacers, I'll echo. We put the fronts in a vice to make sure we could tighten the nuts on the spacer down good, and the coating just cracked right off with very little effort. Gotta be something better they could do with that. For me it's not a big deal... you can't really see it so it's no bother, not enough for me to deduct a star. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone with a Commander as the FIRST mod you do to your Jeep. Makes this thing sit right, the way it should have from the factory. *EDIT* I did have to do the pinch weld trim on the front, that wheel/tire combo rubbed ever so slightly. Nothing a Dremel and a couple hours couldn't fix!

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Great lift kit. Pretty easy to install, instructions are step-by-step and it's a simple design with a great price. Only install issues/delays are rusted out existing bolts on the Jeep. The passenger side bolt that holds the strut to the lower control arm was an issue for me. I suggest having a mechanic or an alignment shop do the install... you'll need an alignment afterward anyway. This kit is a simple design and provides spacing above the front struts and rear springs, lifting the Jeep's frame/body about 2 inches. I've included some photos, I hope they help. A buddy of mine has his own shop, so I had him help me do the install. One thing to watch out for is damaging the axle CV boot when re-installing the front struts. With the lift spacer installed, the strut fork barely slides back in and if you force it over the CV boot, you could damage the boot. During the install, I also added 1.5 inch hub-centric wheel spacers. Though the wheel spacers are NOT required to do this lift install, I wanted a wider stance. So basically I lifted the Jeep 2" and created a 3" wider stance. I mainly did this because I'm not sure when I'll get around to adding larger tires, so I'm still running my stock 245/65r17. The wheel spacers make the stock wheel/tires look decent with the lift (in my opinion anyway).

Excellent, exactly as advertised
This suspension kit came with everything needed and is simple to install. The lift levels out the front end with the back end, so if you plan on maintaining the rake, I would avoid it, but I enjoy the leveled look. You can clear pretty large tires with this kit, sizes including 245/75/r17,255/75/r17, and 265/70/r17. Larger sized tires can be achieved with simple trimming, and modifications. If you're looking for a budget boost and want more ride height, this is your kit. 10/10 would recommend

Works great, simple enough to install.
The kit arrived quickly and with everything needed to install. Clean, clear, color instructions. With step by step pictures for easy visual reference. Welds seem good, nice and solid. The two front spacers arrived with damaged/scratched paint around each weld. The visual damage doesn't bother me but what did concern me was the damaged paint will allow for moisture to begin the rusting process. I repainted them and am now less concerned about rusting. Decent kit, decent price.

More bang for your buck Budget Lift
Put this on my 2009 Jeep Commander and looks great! Install was easy enough, be sure you have coil spring compressor!!! This kit is super well made, and delivers on what it’s meant to do. Levels and raised to a great height, stance is beefy. Accommodated P265/70r17 Thunder Trac Gripper tires with 1” Spacers. I have received many compliments on the Jeep. Really good product for the price.

Support was non existent so need to return
My installer says the lift kit doesn't fit because it rubs the axle. I chatted with support and they responded to my questions with things like "I'm not sure" and "possible". My installer on a 2" lift for a 2007 Jeep Commander called me mid install and said he couldn't complete the install cuz the strut mount was pushing down on the axle. He said the kit didn't fit... Back story is struts needed replaced so they were installing new monroe strut assembly and would add the spacers during the install. An old lift spacer (10 years old) needed replaced as well so I bought the kit on amazon and seemed simple enough. My problem is that they had to complete the struts so I could bring it home etc... so they completed the install without the kit but I have slight oversized tires (fit w/the last kit). Now I need to either install the kit because they were wrong or return the kit. But I need the lift as my tires are close to rubbing. I've sent more requests for assistance but no one has ever responded and Amazon says contact the vendor through the Amazon site but that doesn’t work either. I liked a previous lift kit from Rough Country.
