Worked great! The repair mode worked exactly as advertised; left it on overnight & the next morning, my 5 year-old 12V SLA battery worked fine, for powering up my DuroMax generator. Pretty good deal for only $28; a new battery would cost twice that. Minor downside - the short cord lengths: 32" for the AC cord and 24" for the charger cables. I messed up & didn't properly plan for this Winter storm; the stores were sold out of new batteries. I found this on Amazon, with same-day delivery, and figured this was my best option. Worked out just fine.

This black model is the same as the red one, but was discounted $8 less than the $30 red one. (Guess people like red better). It charged two heavy duty deep cycle boat batteries (protects them from winter freezing). It advertises a 10 amp charge rate. It's definitely better/faster than similarly priced trickle chargers (which it does also). I charged one battery at 10amps and one at trickle. They both show a full indicator, but while the 10amp charger seems to completely turn off when full, the trickle charge stays on as a battery maintainer. It has a built in fan which runs automatically while it's charging. Unlike some similar chargers which advertise copper clamps this does not, and it' seems , with a magnet, that the clamps are not copper. They could be a lower grade stainless, but since they are fully insulated (a good thing for tight spots), it's hard to know exactly what they're made of. Unless it's being used in a marine environment, not sure it makes much difference, especially cause no part of a charger should be exposed to water. The clamps don't get hot at all, so there can't be any power drain during charging, whatever they are. The quality seems good, and more than adequate (other than for commercial use), as it does so many things, including a reconditioning (desulfering?) cycle, and is very easy to use. I would definitely recommend it, and will follow up with any issues, if they occur. Long term, who can say how good anything is in advance?

I have had this unit for several months now and have used it several times. The unit works well and does the job. It has a clear and easy to read screen and charges most things in a timely manner. The smaller size makes it nice for storage and to carry it. It has a reconditioning feature which is nice with the older batteries. My only concern would be the cable wires are smaller and all plastic. I have not had any issues with the unit or the cables or clamps as of yet. But it is a concern that you could very easy break one because of all the plastic. So far, I would still buy another one for the different functions and the price of the unit.

When hooked to a battery that may have a small load on it the charger will detect a reduced voltage and start charging again and keep the battery topped up. This is not the case for many which simply shut off and require either a disconnect and reconnect or a power cycle in order to start charging again. The first of these I have put in service has been in continuous use since December of 2024. The load on the battery is about 1 amp. It has a fan which only runs when the charger is charging.

Nice little battery charger, don't take up much room, does what its supposed to. And has couple nice features that actually revive a junk battery.

I purchased one of these about a year ago to the day. Used it a couple of times as needed and it worked as it should. I just went to use it again, it beeped and died. I tried to contact the email given on the website and have received no response. It has been a couple of weeks. Update 9/6/25 - After a delay someone from customer service contacted me via email and made it right. Changed review to 5 stars.

Not the best, but it does the job for sure. Wish the cables were longer.
