Solid Construction
Was purchased as a spare for a failing GM folding mirror motor.. Will buy again.

Does not work for 2008 Chevy 2500 mirrors.
Tried this gear on both sides of my 2008 Chevy 2500. Jammed on both sides. Buy the nylon one.

It works ok doesn’t allow mirror to move like it use to

Great with a warning
This is well made and a great substitute however the original gear was plastic where it interfaced with the electric motor. This is key as this metal one creates a short with motor and will not work. You can research this on youtube and find a work around but short version is knocking in two pins on the motor. Do your homework on this. Would buy again for other side mirror after working through this.

The metal gear robs the ground path and causes intermittent/non functioning of the mirror assembly. The gear is supposed to be plastic to isolate the electrical/mechanical components.

Don't work
I took these pieces to a specialist mechanic to install but he could not make them fit. They are the wrong size as advised. I have a Cadillac Escalade 2009.
