The best
I bought this button maker after returning one that had a swivel mechanism. (It was a pain in the a) I like this design better and this machine over all better. It’s quieter than other pin makers I’ve had. When you punch the image over the cap it doesn’t make everything on your desk jump. Very smooth. Can’t recommend enough. Especially if you’re just starting out with pin making and want something reliable. It’s also really simple to change the button sizes. It’s fool proof.

Works great! It will easily pay for itself
This thing works great. I've already punched about 200 buttons with it and it seems sturdy and does the job. Instructions are a bit wonky but not too difficult to figure out if you're smart enough to tie your shoes. Zero complaints for the price. Selling my buttons at one trade show will more than pay for the modest cost of this machine.

MY BUSINESS IS DESTROYED AND IM INJURED
DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU PLAN TO SELL PINS FROM THIS MACHINE. YOU WILL BE DEVASTATED AND AT LOSS LIKE ME AFTER MONTHS OF HARD WORK.To make a long story short, if you want a long-lasting machine that doesn't randomly break on you, injure you and negatively affect your business PLEASE INVEST IN A PROFESSIONAL MACHINE, NOT THIS ONE.Long Story: I've been through THREE machines. Each one has its own unique defects and doesn't work properly. I make unique designs and sell them at pop-up events. All of it is now at loss because of these poor quality machines.First Machine:The first has a handle about to snap and break because it takes a LOT of force to correctly make a pin. Turns out? EVERY pin that came from this machine has the back plastic piece fall off. I ordered a second thinking well maybe I did something wrong. Had to issue replacements to my customers.Machine 2:seems to work okay, I got about 80 pins out of this machine until *SNAP!!!* *Blood everywhere* because THE HANDLE ABRUPTLY SNAPPED WITHOUT WARNING. On the morning of an important sale event. Lost lots of $$$ and my pride that day.Machine 3: Replacement for No. 2. Seems to work fine, until after hundreds of pins made and sales I start getting messages from customers that the front fell off. Guess what? EVERY PIN MADE IS DEFECTIVE. My once successful business is now suddenly in jeopardy because I mistakenly trusted this company.LOTS OF $$$ LOST, WASTED TIME AND EFFORT AND NEGATIVELY IMPACTED MY BUSINESS.SOLUTION: DONT EVER PURCHASE ONE OF THESE CHEAP MACHINES. I instead have ordered a high-quality machine from American Button Machines and have to issue replacements to all of my customers if I want to continue.

Not bad for the price
I read a lot of reviews for this machine that made me nervous to buy; I previously had access to a pretty high end machine but couldn't really afford that price range, and was a bit disappointed that the "affordable" options are still close to a hundred dollars. After using this machine for a couple hours, I feel okay about keeping it. It definitely feels flimsier than a high end machine, and after not even finishing the buttons it comes with, the die is starting to stick a little. I can see why some folks have it break very easily on them because those parts, particularly the plastic pegs that line up the die, feel like they could snap if it was misaligned very easily. I will also say that it's definitely NOT compatible with metal backings; one of the customer questions asked this so I was hoping I could use some button parts I already had, but it definitely does not work. The cutters it comes with are extremely low quality as well so I will probably be getting something else for that; they have exposed blades and are not very safe. On the plus side, I feel like the buttons it produces are pretty nice and there is a low error rate; I think something important to keep in mind is that you want to be using the thinnest possible paper for the buttons. If you are using thicker paper it may be why you have so many failed buttons. I use typical weight printer paper or magazine paper, nothing thicker than that.I think if you are wanting to make buttons for a hobby or one time event, this is a totally fine machine to use. If you want to make them for business, you should invest in a higher end machine, since it's definitely worth it. Plus, your hands will thank you; this one is not that easy on the wrist, and I really wouldn't recommend making more than 50 buttons a day on it.

Loooooove my button maker. Makes me feel like a kid again. Instructions are easy to follow & it's easy to use. Would recommend to others. Size variety:It's nice to be able to switch to different size buttons too. This comes with three sizes & you can purchase other sizes to use with machine.
