RT-2500 BFG

We bought this smoker so we could host a large party (80+ people) and it worked great! A week before the party the smoker showed up to the house, and we assembled it. Assembly took maybe 1-2 hours, but was overall a snap! I had reached out to Recteq for shipping info, and they got back to me on a Sunday, during a holiday. Great customer service! Instructions where online, I had printed them out and kept them in case I need the for the future. The Recteq did amazing! The first smoke we did was just to make sure everything worked perfectly. On the day before the party, I started smoking brisket (50lbs) this only took up half of the lower rack. We ended up running the smoker for almost 24 hours straight. We smoked 50lbs of brisket, 50 lbs of pulled pork, 14 racks of ribs, 100 chicken drumsticks and 4 tri tips. I would HIGHLY recommend Recteq to anyone looking for a very high-quality smoker, they are built like tanks!

Tops the Traeger brand in smoke retention and stable temperature. Easy to use and put together. Food comes out with a nice smoke ring and cooks evenly.

I just received this grill, and I am not disappointed. Having owned 5 Traeger grills for the past 20+ years, I have high expectations out of a smoker. What got me out of the Traeger cycle? The size. I cook for large parties, and while I will still use all my other smokers, I wanted one that could hold a large amount of food. And I am not disappointed! Assembly was not difficult, and I just did my inaugural cook. My first impression is based on temperature control. Wow! Even though I have replaced the controllers on most of my Traegers, it still fluctuates 15-20 degrees either direction. Not this thing. I set it to 225, and it stays within 2-3 degrees. I am even ran Bluetooth probes, and they verify this stability. With this stability, cook times are somewhat predictable. I haven't tried the low temperature smoke settings, but I expect those will surpass my needs. I received the grill fast so that was a plus too! It has the competition wheels, and it rolls through even gravel easily. A very solid build, and of course looks really cool with the horns and all the stainless steel. I've been using it so much, I haven't had time to try the cover I bought with it. The only disappointment -- a week or so after I bought it, it came on sale for almost $400 less. That's ok though, it's worth the full price.

Awesome smoker with lots of space. I installed the Smoke Daddy to get extra smoke. Some of the bolts and assembly had me scratching my head as they didn't line up properly I still have a smoke stack that didn't bolt up .

Description says it has interior lights, which is why I bought this model. I did not come with any lights.

This thing is massive. Probably way more bbq than needed for a casual bbqer like myself. But it is awesome and holds temp perfectly for hours.

It is so big! A little work putting it together but what a grill! Only cooked a few things on it so far but they turned out great!

This thing is a beast. Huge. Well built.
