Good replacement for hard to find tilt mechanism bolt patterns
Needed a 9" by 9" size plate tilt mechanism for a large vintage quality executive office chair that the bottom metal plate finally gave out and broke. The 9" by 9" size is pretty much impossible to find so I purchased this model and drilled new pilot holes in the bottom wood base of the chair and used metal wood inserts with the previous plate's bolt pattern and bolts and it works perfectly now. Thanks!

Good Customer Service, Okay Product, Bad Quality Assurance
I purchased this item since it was a direct match for several chairs i had that all needed this type of bottom. When I tried to attach it to one of my chairs, I immediately could see the item was extremely bent and would be impossible to attach to my chairs, despite being the correct type and supposed distance. I contacted the manufacturer who was unable to give me a replacement since they I had purchased their last one, however they did get me a full refund. I paid a friend of a friend who owns many tools and fixes cars regularly to take a crack at rebending the tool into the correct shape. He WAS able to fix get it to the correct length that was advertised, but not without cracking parts of it. So, even though its damaged cosmetically, in the end, I was able to mount it to the chair.

the holes are crooked
I bought this a couple months ago and have not yet had the chance to install it because I was awaitng a part and an extra set of hands to help with replacing the old broken bits from the original one that came with my chair. i found out mid installation only 3 of the 4 screws aligned and one of the ears on the front portion of the mount is bent inward making it so only 3/4 screws can be attached to mount this. I did tighten down all 3 screws and had my extra hands sit and move in the chair to see if the 4th hole without a screw would bend where it moutns and it didnt. When I had it out on its own it seemed that the tilt mechanism didnt have nearly the same ammount of resistance as the original part this is replacing. I think it will work for now since I dont always use that chair at some point ill take it off pop it into a vice and straighten out that mounting bracket. The mounting brackets also to be different from the pictures, in the pictures the screw holes have a divot, the one that came did not. buyer beware its the right part, but the quality is questionable. Update Febuary 2024, the casting on these is poor, a cracked developed by the locking lever despite never having it locked, this is the exact same place the factory tilt adjustment broke on my chair. judging from the crack on this replacement it IS slightly better than factory part, it has a smaller but still large crystalline structure to the metal, the crack on the replacement is developing only on one side whereas the original factory part had a crack straight across develop all at once. both the factory chair and the replacement claim a "300 pound maximum capacity" but myself and the weight of the seat of my chair do not amount to this, with the poor quality control, and having two of these break I would suggest staying away from office chairs with these style of tilt mechanisms you find on cheap "gaming office chairs.

poor quality control, holes were too close together/bracket was bent
required buying a step drill to enlarge the holes, at least the metal was fairly soft to drill

Great for non standard chairs
A fine product, seems strong; sadly, about 5mm too small for what I needed. Heads up if you are trying to repair a FantasyLab chair: this will not fit.

Measure original twice - but it worked and worked well.
As I used a tape measure to see if this would fit and it seemed exact - well it was not. However, only by a total of .23 too narrow. After thinking on it a bit, I got out my step drill and wallowed it out some. A few tries and WOW - it fits, tightens up, and is wonderful. Definitely worth every penny and I would buy it again.

Pretty good, sloppy tolerances
This is the OEM replacement for pretty much any "gaming" chair around that has a tilt seat mechanism. There appear to be no other options for direct replacements, so we're stuck with what they make. My original chair base would no longer adjust for tilt. I took it apart and found a cheap nylon ring as the movement mechanism for the tilt adjuster. The cheap nylon piece broke, which prevented the chair from tilting. The entire rest of the base was still fine. The one I ordered here is the exact same model with the exact same measurements, but I wound up having to put it on a vise and bend the mounting rails to the actual dimensions of the chair holes. The listing claims 6.67", but it's not even close. Poor quality control, but not surprising when they're the only game in town.

I bought this piece to replace the one on my Corbeau racing seat office chair. The original exploded after years of use (a pair of low grade bolts broke, destroying a bunch of plastic bits) and it's probably not the best quality mechanism, but the bolt pattern is unique, and if you need this piece, you need this piece. These mechanisms are made in China but are not available on Ali Express. Sellers on Alibaba sell them for a very good price, but shipping is well over $200. Or the price and shipping are reasonable, but you have to buy 100 pieces. After doing a google image search I found this product and the price, after shipping, was better than getting it directly from China. Removing the old mechanism took a few hammer blows, and the new mechanism just popped on. I expect that it will last a few years until the through bolts break, maybe I'll replace them with $1 worth of grade 8 bolts that I picked up at Home Depot and avoid the future destruction.
