Added this cartridge filter to my 15' Intex pool which was difficult to keep clean. Using just an Intex sand filter, the pool was constantly needing to be shocked and the water was always cloudy. Less than 1 day after installing this filter, the water is almost crystal clear. In fact, I have the sand filter set to recirculate, which bypasses sand filtration. The cartridge filter is well made and does not leak. The inlet and outlet ports are threaded on the outside and inside. Not sure what the outer thread size is but the inner threads accept a 1.5" PVC adapter to easily add to my plumbing.

Replaced my old DE filter that was spewing DE into the pool. I hooked up this filter while allowing all the old DE to settle to the bottom. I vacuumed the bottom and then removed the filter cartridge and hosed it clean. Put it back into the filter. Now I have crystal clear water and none of the inconvenience of dealing with DE. I have a 1 HP Hayward pump and 1 1/2" hoses for an 18' above ground pool. Works great so far and is noticably quieter than the old DE filter.

Was excited to purchase this filter after finding “mostly” good reviews. Unfortunately in this case I’m sorry to say that I will be giving this 1 star due to poor quality as others have reported. Order placed on 6/17/24. Installed with older pump while waiting on new pump on the 18th. All pool equipment always covered due to the Florida sun and rain. (Uncovered for lighting for the photos.) Hooked it to new pump after receiving it on 7/18/24 on that following Saturday the 20th. Saw an alleged leak a couple of days ago. But had thought it was just the seal maybe. I wiped the water away and it seemed fine. Was checking on the pool yesterday and saw the water pooled again. My husband wiped the water away as I told him it might be the seal. As he was standing there, we could both see that the lid was producing tiny air bubbles right through the solid lid plastic near the edge in two spots. We would wipe it and watch it bubble and pool several more times to confirm the cracks. They make no sense. No over tightening could cause the issue in that space nor could high pressure was the pressure has not gone over the 10 mark with either pump. Pairing the cracks with rust inside the pressure gauge, we deemed this poor quality and requested a refund. This is unacceptable. Tired of spending good money on bad products. After contacting the seller, they said they would make a onetime exception for a refund and return. That should be a given if a product starts to break and rust after only about 2 months of use (if even). The seller did make good on the transaction. But the filter is junk. Bad on Swimline. Sad. Too bad because the filter cleaned well. Wish we could have used it for several or more years at least. Smh

Easy install and smooth maintenance

The pros: easy hookup, great filtration, cleans very easily. The cons: can’t seem to find a compatible base. The air relief plug broke off and I had to drill it out and replace it. Less than 24 hours after running my sand filter nonstop with very unimpressive results, this thing has filtered 10x what the old filter did and cleaning it was super easy with just a garden hose. I can’t seem to find the base on Amazon or the manufacturer’s website, but the filter is standing up on its own with the water weight so that’s good. The air relief valve snapped off when I over tightened it a little. I thought I was screwed but was able to drill it out and pop in another one without any leaks.

My pool water was clean and the chemicals balanced, but I still had some cloudiness that was super slow to resolve after each time I shocked due to rain or heavy use. I am not a patient guy. I added this filter in series after the sand filter. No other changes. Within 24 hours my pool was crystal clear and has remained so. I saw some other reviews about no base (mine came with one) and damage in shipping. I had no issues. The interior of the in/out fittings are threaded and fit a standard 1 1/2 inch male pool fitting. Although NOT labeled (or I couldn't find) there are most definitely an input and an ouput. There is a check valve inside and if you hook these up backward, you will get no flow. The lower fitting is the ouput. Don't overtighten the air relief valve! I have not needed a tool to tighten it, just my fingers. Add some plumbers tape to the pressure gage and screw it in only until good and snug too.

I just installed today, works great. Started out with a leak where the top and bottom screw together after I tried reseating it several times, I decided to try and lube the 0 Ring, totally solved the leak problem. I read in the reviews that a lot of other people were having the same problem. Lube works, give it a try :)

Delivery ended up being longer than promised but that's no fault of the seller. They provided help in receiving the item and now that it's arrived, it working great! Exactly as advertised.

It was what we expected all good.

Easy install, -the unit slipped into the space with and the threads were perfect for my existing system, no leaks.

Had to change review was filtering great but on the first clean of the filter the drain screw snapped clean off , a nice metal bolt would have been better than this cheap plastic bolt

Simply, it works as expected. The water on my pool has become really clear!
