Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Black, 36 Count

I teach comics and this is the first pen we use. It's an excellent pen for anyone who is beginning to make comics. It has a beautiful black, responds to pressure-- more pressure equals a thicker line, less pressure thinner-- so you can get line weight in a way that microns can't give you. The ink is water soluble though, so it bleeds if you get it wet. It also tends to turn brownish over several years if exposed to light. And it runs dry a bit too quickly. There is a rumor that the the modern Flairs have less ink in them then they used to. If you open one up (you'll need pliers) inside is a surprisingly thin fragile tube made of thin saran-wrap type plastic containing what looks like sponge material and ink. Still, this is a fantastic pen for beginners.

As a teacher of littles, I’m a flair pen snob and these are my go to. The quality is awesome- they don’t streak, last a long time (when I remember to cap them) and I could not pass up the bulk deal! Paper Mate are always my choice for flair pens!

These arrived quickly and were used by students. The tips of the pens seemed easy to bend: yet kids are rough on everything. Color was great

I love these flair pens for journaling and drawing. They last for quite a long time if treated properly, and I like the medium-thick lines they produce. As a product, I have nothing but high praises for the quality in comparison to its price. It is a wonderful, inexpensive pen that won’t easily bleed— even on inexpensive paper. For that, I give it 5 stars. That said, my 5-star rating comes with a gentle warning: at some point, someone (presumably in a warehouse) appears to have opened up the box of 36 flair pens, took a single pen, and then taped the box back up (see pics— they literally used packing tape). I don’t blame them—these pens really are that good. I’d take these over a ballpoint pen. I know that in certain cases on Amazon, the rating of a product is asking solely for the quality of the item, NOT the odd warehouse mishaps that occur to the object on the way to its location, which is why I am not deducting a star from my review, as 35 out of the 36 pens made it to me in perfect condition, but I do think it’s worth mentioning in case this is not something that you, dear reader, are comfortable with potentially happening to your flair pen order. Anyway, wherever you are, 36th flair pen, I hope you are being used and appreciated. I wish you the best.

I love all things paper mate flair pens!! I love the ink flow, the ink thickness, the vibrancy, the versatility…the list goes on!! This box of black flair pens specifically was a great value per coat of pen 🖊️ much better cost than other listings!! Definitely worth spending the extra money upfront

Esperaba con ansias estas plumas por que venian muy recomendadas para trabajar. Mi principal desilusion es que la caja llego totalmente abierta y las plumas todas regadas en el sobre. Y por lo que cuesta creo que hay mejores plumas y mas accesible. Aunque si me gusto como escribe, pero no las compraría de nuevo.

The box containing the pens came opened and the majority of pens were spread all over the outer box. I had to count them to make sure they were all there as the outer box had holes in it. I like the dark black ink. It doesn't bleed through the paper. It has a larger nib than I'm used to, but my last box of fine tips ran out of ink before the nib wore out. I haven't gone through one pen yet, so can't evaluate the ink or nib life
