I wanted a victorian picture frame for a shadow box I made of some of my mother’s costume jewelry. This picture frame is centered in the middle of the shadow box (see photo). It was the idea color, weight and size for this shadow box display. I lost my mom in 2024 and thought this would make a great keepsake gift for her sister. She loved it and displays it in her home.

I hesitated to buy this based on note that this was a “frequently returned item”. I found this to be a cute, fairly sturdy, little frame that suited my needs. I was framing a bit of embroidery and needed to remove the glass. The glass was glued into the frame so to remove it I had to gently pry the glue off (I think a hot glue had been used). Ultimately, the glass broke, but that was okay with me. The frame itself worked perfectly and I would buy one if these frames again. I am not sure why this would be an item that is often returned, unless the size proved to be wrong for someone’s purpose.

This is a nice frame. It’s resin so it’s not super high quality but I think it looks nice.

Keeping this because it is darling, but am going to have to figure out a way to possibly completely detach and reattach or replace the stand. Right now, I have it propped up on a porcelain figurine but that’s obviously not a long-term solution.
