I am a huge fan of Sally Hansen nail polish, as I truly believe it has greatly increased the hardness of my fingernails. My favorite Hansen line is the Insta Dri. True to its name, it dries quickly. This line also features a wide brush, which allows me to complete one fingernail coat in just a couple of strokes. My preferred base coat is a pale, pearlized or opaque color, usually Triple Thread or Copper Crush. The second coat is often something with sparkles in the mix, like Quartz Queen or Illusion. Rarely do I bother with a third coat. Although I do not "baby" my nails in any manner, a 2-3 coat manicure usually lasts nearly a week before showing wear and tear. Sally Hansen polishes are easily found, available in a wide assortment of colors and textures, and are often much less expensive than other brands. Honestly, what's not to love?

If you’re in a rush and your nails are looking rough, this is the perfect nail polish to have around. The pigment is pretty opaque and it truly does dry quickly. You don’t necessarily need more than one coat but either way thin coats are your best friend. The polish can get a little lumpy if you leave it open too long during application but all you need to do is shake it up and it’ll be fine. It’s not a long wearing polish but if you have a good quality topcoat that can extend the wear time.

At first I thought that it was just a gimmick and that I had wasted my money, because the first time I used it, I didn’t do it correctly and it was just a flat black matte. It did dry very quickly, as advertised (insta-dry), but I was glad I only tried it on my thumb nail, and started getting disappointed…but the I went back and did some research on it and what other people had experienced with it, and that’s when I realized that it didn’t crackle like it should because I didn’t put a light, pale single coat of another color as the base. A little bit of this polish goes a long way, and I was fascinated watching the cracks form before my eyes as the Stranger Things polish did exactly what it was supposed to do. The coverage of the polish is great, only needing to use 3-4 strokes per nail. Once the cracks appeared and I could tell it had dried, I applied a top coat which really made the whole thing shine, and it helped the whole thing stay on my nails for almost a week before any chips started to appear. It’s now been almost two weeks since I used it and M now about to take it all off and try it all again. I can’t wait anymore to see it do it’s magic. I think I will go and buy the other colors now that I know how it works and it looks amazing. I used a paleish purple as the bottom coat, and the color of Stranger Things polish I bought was the purple one. If you love the show, love interesting nail designs, or just wanna try something different and new, you will completely love this line of polishes. It goes on smoothly and dries matte and then starts to crackle, which is amazing to just sit and enjoy while it happens. Just remember to follow the instructions correctly or you will also think you were scammed by the item not living up to its claim. The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star review is because I really did have to go searching to figure out why it hadn’t worked that first attempt. Well worth the time, effort, and the cost is very reasonable for how awesome it looks when fully applied! When I can afford it, I will be buying the other colors in the set, and I imagine they are probably a limited time thing so I hope you and I can get them all before they’re discontinued!

This top coat was a game changer because it really does almost completely dry in just a couple of minutes, significantly cutting down the time of not being able to touch anything after painting your nails. I rated it 4 stars though instead of 5 because I was surprised at how fast the product depleted and even more surprised that it got gummy and unusable in less than a year. So unless I had a fluke bottle the first time I purchased it (this is my second time purchasing it), then perhaps it's quick to dry on your nails and quick to dry in the bottle too. Because of that it is probably perfect for someone who regularly paints their nails but might not be the right choice if you only do it once or twice a year.

It dries in less than a minute — by the time I finish my second hand, the first one is already touch-dry. Perfect for busy days when I can’t sit still waiting for polish to set. My manicure usually lasts 5–7 days without chips, which is impressive for a clear top coat. It also helps strengthen the polish underneath and makes colors look a bit more vibrant. The brush spreads evenly with just one swipe, and the formula isn’t too thick or runny. There’s a faint scent (as expected with nail polish), but it fades quickly. I’ve even used it on bare nails for a natural glossy look — it makes them look instantly healthier. Dries fast! I had a concert to go to at night and put it on in the morning after a shower and within maybe 30mins they were solid and good to go without fear of smearing. Color is solid bright black. Easy application you just need to be quick with your first coat cuz it will start drying and dragging but once you get the hang of it there’s no stickiness or streaks.

So I only did a three star not because it didn’t do what it was advertised because it was amazing looking and it lasted a while but because when I took the nail polish off my nails were stained yellow I even put a white base coat before I did the nail polish. I bought it the end of October 2025 and it is now almost Christmas and the yellow is almost gone, but my nails had to grow out for it to go away so just FYI for anybody else getting it this was the green one. before I knew it stained my nails I also bought the purple one and have not tried that one yet was waiting for the stain to go away before trying a new one I hope this helps
