If you're like me, you cringe at the thought of disposing of heavy, cumbersome old beds and bases. For the life of me, as I researched, people wouldn't disclose if the color was see-through and transparent or white so people couldn't see the contents. It drove me absolutely crazy! These are, in fact, white so no one can see your mattress. You're welcome! LOL I was genuinely surprised by the quality and build. I did quite a bit of research. I think we've all been there. You scroll and scroll and filter out items by star rating and even price and even then you have your doubts. I narrowed it down between this and three different items and did a comparison of all four. In the end, this one had the better reviews and it was also aesthetically pleasing, when compared to the other three. The first thing I noticed about this item was the size. I would not have to struggle and make anything fit. These are very spacious. Thank heavens. There really isn't enough time in the day to review things but this was actually worth taking a moment to share and maybe helping others cut down the time they search. I am certainly glad my search is over. LOL

I was having a new mattress delivered and having the delivery people take the old one away. My old mattress was over 25 years old and it showed! I felt more comfortable pre-bagging it with a solid white “no show” mattress disposal bag. I liked the thickness (no tears) and easily slipped in the whole queen sized mattress in a minute. Plenty of room!!! Problem solved! 25 years of use hidden! Delivery people grabbed it and took it away. I now have a spare in case I need it!

They go on sideways so you can just stand the mattress up on its side and put the bag on. Plastic is very thick and strong, no ripping or tearing.

For mattresses, the expression -- as far as I can remember -- is said to be "replace every 8 (years)". Well, we went nearly twice that time frame, but we FINALLY got a new mattress. Included with the delivery of it was haul-away of the old mattress...which over the course of nearly 15 years had seen better days. Specifically, the permanent and pretty dark water stain near the foot of the bed where both of our (now much more grown) kids were placed, on towels, after baths back when they were babies so we could fully dry them off post-bath. The towels placed underneath them did little to prevent a baby-sized water stain from happening in that area. Lesson learned, although too little too late since we're done with having babies now haha. Using only one of these bags, when the material was pressed right up against it, still showed this water stain through the bag, despite the "opaque" claim. Yes, the bag wasn't as clear as "Clear" would have been, of course, but it wasn't totally opaque either. However, using both bags (double-bagging) on the mattress did the job! With both on there, you couldn't see it at all. The bag's thickness is pretty good -- the guys who took it away had no ripping or otherwise any trouble with handling it to take the old mattress from the upstairs bedroom, down the stairs, out the front door, and into their truck. It did what I needed it to do, and I'd get this again next time (which will hopefully sooner than 15 years from now).

We had purchased a new mattress and needed to dispose of our old one, naturally. I wanted something reasonably priced, opaque, and large enough that there would be no struggle to get in bag. With this, I got all I wanted out of a mattress bag, plus there is a 2nd one for a later time/purpose. I just used duct tape to tape up the sides and that worked just fine If I'd wanted to spend more, I probably could have gotten one with handles, but this was just perfect for the disposal.

Nice and thick, doesn't easily rip. Also opaque, which is nice since I personally don't want to look at a bare mattress I know someone has lain their body on for (potentially) years. It is slippery though. I wrapped mine in moving cling wrap as well so there was something to hold onto, otherwise moving it would have been difficult.

Rest assured that these mattress bags are NOT flimsy! They are very strong! I also appreciate that they are opaque and not see through! Great purchase!
