Does the job
This replacement alternator isn’t a factory direct fit, but it’s a solid aftermarket option. Installation required a few adjustments, but once in place, it worked reliably and got the job done. Perfect Fit
The alternator was a perfect match for the original one on my JD 455 garden tractor/mower (circa 1999) with Yanmar diesel engine. The only difference was the housing on the original one was a powder coated metal housing while this one was a casted material. Bolt pattern, dimensions and wiring harness all was a perfect match. Have used now for 10 hours with no issues - everything seems to be working well. Will have to see how long it lasts. Fingers crossed.
