My little boy loves all the Julia Donaldson/Axel Shefler books. They are fun, colorful, and easy to read for littles.

We historically love everything Julia Donaldson writes from Stick Man to Zog. Superworm is no different. Story itself is so so but the ease of read and vibrant pictures makes nightly bedtime reading awesome!

Superworm Book Was great

We love it! My 4 year old loves this book so much he knows it by heart.

Mon fils de 3 ans et demi adore, il lit et relit l'histoire. A chaque fois il découvre un nouveau personnage grace aux magnifiques dessins du livre. Il y a tous les ingrédients qui lui plaisent : le fort, le magicien, le méchant, et les copains gentils qui aident le super verre-de-terre. Et le texte rhyme, ce qui est un délice pour les oreilles des enfants, on dirait une chanson !

All my grandsons from ages 2-5 love this author.

Is there a better combination than Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler in the world of children's books? Whenever my children spot a new book in Scheffler's illustration style they know they are in for a treat. Superworm is an odd little hero but hero he is, he saves lots of his friends by contorting himself into various positions, before he finds himself in peril at the hands of Wizard Lizard, will he become lunch for a crow? As always Julia Donaldson's rhyming story is a pleasure to read and one that lends itself to reading aloud and being learned by heart. My children very quickly started to join in with the chants of Superworm and my five year old soon started to recite the words along with my reading. Scheffler's illustrations are of their usual high standard, we love that you can spot other characters from the Donaldson/Scheffler canon amidst the pages. Can you find the Gruffalo? Superworm is a must for all Julia Donaldson fans, it really is a lovely story about the power of friendship.

Very good but for child

Another great Julia Donaldson book, with great lyrics and vocabulary for the little ones and a good story about standing up to the nasties out there
