It’s an absolute gem
I’ve now had this for 3 weeks. I’m completely enchanted with it and that takes some doing for an 85 years old. What’s so pleasing about it? Well, for starters, it’s fast, has a 17” screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and it’s so light. Screen reflections are barely noticeable, the keyboard is very comfortable to use, it boots to a usable screen in 12 seconds and shuts down in 7 seconds. I could go on but I think that’s enough to convey my feelings about it. I like it! A lot.

Big screen, light, fast and quiet: very little to criticise
At last, a laptop that's not only powerful enough to play moderately demanding games and, despite the 17-inch screen, also light enough to carry around and has battery life that keeps it going all day. And for me, the other big plus is that it's quiet. Even running a game with the fan seemingly on max output, it provides a bit of white noise in the background, not a jet engine whine like my previous machine. Most of the time though, it's completely silent. Again, unlike my last laptop. With 1TB of storage and 16GB of memory, the hardware supports everything I need it for. You might want more RAM or storage if you were editing videos, for example, but the specs suggest you can add more storage; I haven't opened it up to check. The centrepiece though is the display. I love the anti-glare screen so I can sit by a window without seeing reflections, narrow bezels allow the screen to fill the field of view and it's plenty bright enough for my uses. Other user interface issues: the keyboard is just deep and clicky enough to be great to type on, and the separate number pad is useful too - if only for the Enter key that sits on the far right and so is easy to prod when typing quickly. If I had a criticism, it would be that the Enter key in the middle of the keyboard is harder to pick out than if it were larger, and I'd prefer the Home and End keys, which I use a lot when typing, not to require use of the Fn key. The black case also picks up fingerprints easily but these are easy to remove with isopropyl alcohol. Or vodka will probably work too! And I'd prefer to have had Windows Pro installed by default rather than Home just for the additional networking functionality but that's simple to remedy. Charging is via a USB-C port and the charger itself is a fairly small, lightweight component, making the whole apparatus easy to carry around when necessary. Very impressed with this machine. It's not the cheapest on the market but having spent weeks researching the 17-inch laptop market, you will struggle to find one that combines all these features without paying a whole lot more.

Returned
I purchased the last one in stock and sadly it has issues and after on 22 days I had to return it. The seller was superb, they arranged pick up, and after checking I was refunded the cost. No issues at all. The pc would have been my second one, and I can tell you that my first is over 2 yrs of age, I have had no issues with the. The build is great, nice and light, keyboard is great to use and as I'm a full-finger typist I type fast. The battery life is excellent and as I work on the go I don't want to plug my laptops in at all. I have had no issue with the memory, or the speed with which everything works. Easy to use and excellent value for money. I have since been to LG itself and purchased another laptop, new model than this one and I'm delighted with that also. As for this seller, you can trust I believe that they are reliable and honest.

Don't buy it's rubbish
Don't buy this laptop, it is rubbish. Even though it has an i7 CPU & 32GB RAM, it is actually very slow, It's Widows Hello camera stops working & Windows Explorer crashes very frequently. It's speakers are not loud enough and battery doesn't even last for more than 2 hours. Do not trust any of the claims made by LG. It's not worth it and there are other laptops much better than this. LG technical support is non existent. Learn from my mistake and do not buy this laptop.

Excellent Laptop. Very lightweight but sturdy
Very lightweight indeed. 17 inch screen. Almost silent to run. Very stylish. Easy to set up. Some have facial recognition and some use a thumb print. (I prefer the thumb print model) These are excellent laptops. They are made of aluminium and a super dark grey colour. Good keyboard. I absolutely recommend these. (I have purchased three so far on behalf of my work.)

Very good but awful battery life and support
It's a very good laptop so long as nothing goes wrong and you never intend moving too far from a plug (and we never get any power cuts). It went from 80% charge to 50% charge in under one and a half hours (with no power hungry applications running) and whilst the initial contact at support was very helpful their actual technical team took forever to answer and just came up with reasons why they shouldn't do anything. I received an email this morning from the initial support team contact (who I do not have a problem with) and he didn't seem too happy with the word "awful" but that is exactly how I feel the support teams respone was to a purchase that set me back nearly 2 grand. As it happens (and unknown to me at the time) the charger unit failed just after 10am yesterday morning and the battery was fully discharged by 2pm. So that gives me a 4 hour maximum battery life just using a spreadsheet. The advert says that the life is 17.5 hours so on this front they have delivered 23% of their promise - which is awful. I feel the technical support team delivered less which technically makes their service more than awful. Anyhow I've bought another charger and a plug in power pack to try and extend the battery life to 8 hours which is the minimum I need. This is all a shame really as it's not a bad laptop.

Will definitely recommend to more people.
This is a light weight power house laptop that should definitely be on your short list. I've encouraged two people to buy a high spec version and they are both pleased with its build and features.

Set up worked perfectly
Connected to the mains to charge the battery and switched on. the set up worked a dream from access to the internet, downloading all updates and mirroring everything on my main computer. This included Favourites, programmes, user names & passwords. What a difference to previous experiences.
