Works perfectly with my 6-outlet indexing valve. I have five zones. So I just program zone 6 not to water This control is easy to read and program. If you have a indexing valve. you must add a 1-2 minute delay between each zone stop time and the next tart time to allow the indexing valve time to advance to the next position. Call it a buffer, for example my zone 1 starts at 6:00 a.m. for 25 minutes, then my zone 2 starts at 6:30, this 5 minute stop time allows the indexing valve to advance the next position. I also like that you can easily program which days of the week to water. Where I live the county has watering restrictions on certain days of the week, this timer allows you to select which days to water with a simple push button next to that day and a bright green LED will light up, yes you can see the entire week at the same time. I like that each zone is programmed by turning a knob versus I keypad that other manufacturers use. I can rotate the knob and easily see all the information for each zone. My only issue is that you must manually advance the indexing valve to stop watering before the zone you want to be your zone 1. I only had to do this one time by turning the black knob on top of the anti-siphon valve on and off, but that is easy to do. The wiring is simple too. The best feature of this timer is that it has a connection to turn on a water pump. Most indexing valves have only have one anti-siphon valve with two wires coming from it. Just hook those two wires to the power and water pump terminals. The pump terminal energizes every time a zone starts, so electricity is sent to the anti-siphon valve solenoid which turns on the water to your zone. This particular timer is already mounted in a large protective case, so it can be mounted outside or inside your home. One more cool thing is the transformer is built inside the box, so it's just a standard electric cord which can be plugged in any electric outlet.

This is a fantastic product! EASY to setup! ALL the instructions are in English ONLY! Mounting the controller on my brick wall took longer than wiring and setting up. Incredible!!! Not connected to the web...which is awesome.

I purchased one of these for a friends backyard irrigation system last fall and it was so easy to set up and had such great versatility that I went the extra mile to find the same model for my garden. This is a very intuitive setup process and has a great display that gives all the information you need at a quick glance. The 6 zones allow versatility for watering different zones for time and length but the fact that you great control over each zone is amazing. The one touch button to water each zone again when things get dry or to skip waterings if it rains is great. The seasonal adjustment that allows you to water less in without adjusting your regular schedule if really thoughtful. I layout an programming is so easy that I did not have to get out the manual to set mine up or make adjustments. I thought my wife how to program it in about 3 minutes (yes she is smarter than me). Easy wire connectors make it simple to connect to the zone valves with a minimal amount of tools. Easy to mount also.

Simple, easy to install, quick programing and works as required

This controller is simple to program. It’s also simple to review the settings and change them if necessary. Since most people don’t look at their controller very often, it’s nice to have one that has clear functions.

Controller was very affordable and installed with little effort. Programming is a little more effort than it seems like it should have been. If I were to purchase again I would get a unit with wifi so I could use my phone or laptop to program and control. But, really, how often do you need to program your sprinkler controller? One big tip, others complained about having to set the date and time for each zone. Then, if you change the length of time on a lower numbered zone, you had to manually change the start time for all the following zones. Not true. Set all the zones for the same exact start time and the zones will run sequentially regardless of watering time. About 3 months in and everything works great. Would 100% purchase again.

Great programmable timer Very versatile and functional

I needed a replacement controller for my 11 zone system so buying this 12 zone controller was perfect, It replaced a previous 18 year RainBird controller. No need to buy two 6 zone system so I saved a lot of money. Very easy to install, program multiple start times, zones and increase/decrease watering times based on weather/season. Highly recommend this inexpensive controller that is basic without any bells and whistles and does the job. What helped me decide on this controller is that I bought it on sale and 2 day delivery.

Replaced old timer with this, no issues

This is a simple and easy to wire up and program unit. This Rainbird unit does not have Wifi capability, but I am very content without it. Simple to change program times and very intuitive. Once you set this Bird up, you will never have to look at instructions again. That simple.
