..I've been recreational tree climbing for about 10 years and this is by far the greatest climbing attachment I've ever owned..the design makes line changes in the canopy a breeze and the double safety detents on the pins are a nice feature..after 2 years, I've got absolutely nothing but positive things to say about this rig..KUDOS to NOTCH for a great product!!

Switching to this rope runner has been one of the nicest decisions I've made while climbing in tree care. Not only does it have easier ascension and descension mechanics, but it's also really nice being able to integrate this with foot ascenders and a chest harness, which makes climbing long distances much easier.

The rope runner pro is a high quality device. The adjustment for the thickness of your rope needs to be tuned in well or the descents will not be very smooth. Ascending is pretty nice once there is enough weigh on the rope below you. I haven't tried the Akimbo yet so I can't compare but I do like this device a lot.
