This scallop seashell knob is made out of white earthenware clay. While the clay was still wet, I imprinted it with my handmade scallop stamp which I carved out of clay. The intricacy of the shell is highlighted with a cobalt blue glaze, and the outside edge is painted with a soft turquoise blue glaze. The ceramic part is securely attached to a brushed silver tone metal base which holds the screw of the knob. Fired twice in my kiln for durability. The glazes I use are lead free and non-toxic. Handmade ceramic knobs are perfect for dressers, nightstands, desks, drawers and cabinets. Use in bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, living rooms, or any room in the house!
