This one is very useful item to turn off smoke alarm in home or office that is located high on the wall.

Nice concept for Fire Inspection for checking emergency lights and exit signs that are within the range of this tool. Cons: The head come loose frequently. At it's max extended length, the pole does flex a bit. Hard to carry as it is too long to carry in you pocket and no good carry case for belt as it's too long. Maybe design should bea bit thicker rod with more section to fix in pocket or belt holster/sleeve. Al in all, works with certain limitations. I would recommend if you done rely on this as your primary goto pole tester.

I'm a commercial building engineer and part of my job is testing emergency lighting fixtures and the test buttons are mounted in many different orientations which require pushing from the side, straight up and down and from many different angles, the tip on this pole is great with the way it is angled but the pole itself is just not rigid enough when fully extended to be very effective at pushing switches or buttons, it's ok for home smoke detectors but for commercial lighting tests it leaves a lot to be desired.

Bought this for work, I test exit and emergency lights. I never thought this would work so well, but I have now hung up my ladder and just use this. Even though it’s compact, It’s strong and can test the button from a distance.

A little hard to focus that point on the little tiny test button but it works. Sometimes I use the handle since it more blunt. Hard to miss. I still use an extendable paint pole though. Easier to manage. Pain to carry but easier to use.
