Works exactly as it's supposed to, for what i find to be a really good price. I used it to build a small screen from an old laptop. Currently have a roku that I use it for.

I needed a 2nd screen, i got a broken laptop and use the screen and it works perfectly plug and play

First let me start with. I have over 25yrs of mechanical and electrical fabrication under my belt. I attached the board to a 10.1 lvds screen. Powered up and it made it 15sec in before it began to derez. Screen went black, so I checked everything. I broke out a voltmeter. The main processor got fried. I was using a 5v 2a power supply. So there is no way I pushed the system. Next and here is where this gets dirty. I got this board because it "has" HDMI audio output. But in my combing over the board. I discovered the the drive IC's, 4pin L&R out and supporting components weren't soldered at all. The pads were there. But no components, proof is in the picture. Frankly just more made in China cheap stuff.

I purchased this controller board so I could repurpose an old HP laptop LCD and use it as an always on home security cam monitor. The board arrived in good condition with everything pictured on it's page. Which is the LCD board, cables and the button board. I didn't use it for audio or for any kind of HD movies, so I can't comment on any of that. I can say that from the day I installed it and powered it up it, I have never once turned it off (with the exception of an occasional power outage) and it has worked with zero issues. That was over two and a half years ago. The display worked well with it, it doesn't consume massive amounts of electricity and it was cheap. I'm pretty happy with it.

Very nice piece. Works very well. The only problem i have had is that it requires a power supply, but there are no details as to the power requirements. IE volts, amps etc. I did not want to damage it, luckily it worked on first try

It totally works for my project, excellent, excelent! However the holes in the board that you use to secure it to surfaces are drilled extremely poor. Its pretty comical. But hey, thats china for you. Maybe for the price, hook these bad boys up to some quality control like other driver boards on the market?

Wasn't sure what to expect, I had read some reviews of these boards online and it seemed like maybe you should write to the company before ordering to make sure it would work. I took the risk and ordered just based on the serial numbers and description matching. I had an old display from a tablet that I took apart years ago. Plug this thing in and it works perfectly first try. It does require an external power supply which I didn't know when I ordered it, but I had one laying around I could test. Also the entire set up is a little bulky as I was just using it to connect to a raspberry pi, but you can get rid of some of the extra pieces and fold it all in so it's not too bad.

there are a million boards you can buy and it may seem daunting which one to pick, I bought a board that didnt work for my screen the first time. This board works like a charm for my re-purposed old asus laptop screen. standard 40 pin connector. nice compact size, because unlike some of the other boards, this one only has a power in and an hdmi in, not the other stuff like dvi and display port. remote seems flimsy, but it shouldnt ever be put under any heavy abuse so it should hold up. keep in mind youll have to get a power cord for it, and you need a large power source to run your screen, ususally wont be able to power it with a usb cord, I tried...
