Great wet dry vac for the money
So I admit I got a little excited watching car detailing videos. The Detail Geek does such a good job that I began thinking that maybe I could grow up and do at least half as nice a job as he could. So I Googled around, read on reddit, and found a few options. But the Home Depot one most commonly suggested had some really poor reviews. And when I found this one, I saw it had good features and more horsepower, as well as happy reviews. The price was right, so I picked it up. It's going to do great with the car but at first I've used it in the house. I live in the south and it can get a little cobwebby pretty fast. After the zip through with the regular vacuum, I came along with this one. I used the extension tubes, two of them, plus the crevice tool, and was able to reach ceilings, corners, wood trim along the floor, and other hard to reach places with ease. The suction is great and the house looks nice. You have to screw on the four wheels, which is not really a big deal, one screw each. And I also found my crevice tool inside the actual vacuum. So you may have to take yours apart to find some extensions. That's not difficult. Just pop two clip handles off the side and then pull the motor and filter top off. It doesn't weigh much. As a matter of fact, the whole unit doesn't weigh much at all. It comes with a pretty good power cord that seems to be the same diameter as my heavy duty extension cord that I attached to it so I could roam around the entire house. The vacuum has a thick red handle mounted at the top that also folds down, and when you pull it up and lift the unit with it it's an easy chore. So far, I've enjoyed working with this vacuum a lot and the results on the house have been effective. Will take it out to the car when it stops raining. But given the suction that I've seen so far inside it won't have any problem getting me towards Detail Geek results.

Powerful and Versatile unit for a home shop or garage
While I already have a couple of shop vacs, my main one I frequently leave connected to my table saw. And changing the hose between the saw and the regular extended hose I use for general cleaning was proving to be too tedious as I have aged. The large 2-1/4inch hose and the associated nozzles were awkward to use to get into smaller places like under and around my workbenches and the smaller crevices of my other power saws and CNC equipment. So I began looking around for a versatile and cost effective smaller vacuum and found this unit. So far, it has exceeded my expectations for value, strength, and utility. It is stable dragging around my shop, not tipping over or catching on the various corners of other shop equipment. And it is powerful, easily picking up metal shavings from both drilling and tinsmithing activities along with the usual dust, wood chips, and saw dust. The fact that it can be used as a leaf blower as well I haven't really tried yet. But the fact that you can do that with it is a plus. It's Fall as I write this so I'll be trying it out as a blower soon. It has a convenient carry handle that folds out allowing for two-handed control of the included blower tube. More on that when I finally use it that way. Overall a well made unit with all the features of a larger shop vac but with the perqs of smaller size and the ability to be a handheld leaf blower as well. I suspect the fact that it's powerful as a vacuum will serve it well as a smaller area leaf blower as well as for clearing dirt and dust from gardening activities.

Nice unit.
I needed a shop vac for some minor yard stuff and chose this one because of the detachable blower. It's a nice solid little unit. I've used the blower and it works well. All the parts are there and it's intelligently designed, the clips are solid and have a nice positive SNAP to them. Nothing is cheap on this, although it was affordable and the blower is a nice feature others didn't provide. It'll work for my needs. Like everything in man-world, I start by looking at the big beefy overkill models, but decided on this, and I'm glad - this was the right choice.

Decent item for price
Havent used blower yet but I think it was a neat idea to add on and could be useful. It was easy to assemble but will need a screwdriver to do it. Has great suction, light weight, and rolls easy. Filters were nicer then expected and like the variety of accessories. Only cons/probs Ive noticed so far has been that the accessories seem to be more cheaply made then the rest of it and than any other brands I've bought over the years and some of them dont work as well or just arent quite shaped right is how i can best put it. The floor piece would be awesome but just very awkward angles to use it and I've tried using it any way possible to make it work better lol..have to sit down to get closest angle but besides those minor things this seems to be a great little machine and recommend getting it. Price is good and accurate to me. Also not too big but big enough, i was going to get a smaller at first so easier to store but saw this and had to try it out but size was better then expected and dont see it being much problem to store.

This product both SUCKS and BLOWS. And how.
After two years of letting various annoyances build up in my garage, I decided it was time clean house. I considered several options I settled on this shop vac over a traditional vacuum cleaner, even though I had no need for the ability to vacuum up puddles. This things SUCKS and BLOWS in a big way. The first thing I vacuumed was a pile of leaves that had infiltrated the garage, one pile of which a cat had peed on. It handled the leaves expertly with few exceptions that could easly be fixed with a little tap on concreate. It even pulled up a few wood chips from my fire wood pile, though understandbly a few caused problems, that it could even handle any was amazing. Next was a small piles of discarded ethernet terminals and keystones, which it gobbled up with no problems. It also pulled up stripped wire insulation, tiny section of ethernet cables (less than an inch) tiny nuts, bolts screws and small bits of 12 to 23 gauge wire. Then I turned it on the disgusting mess of cob webs, dead insdects and spiders in every corner, crevice and intersection of floor and wall. Dead salamander? no problem. Dead mouse? gone. At one point it did choke on a dust ball mixed with twigs and stuff. But unlike traditional vacuums, the hose can be taken apart and the clog flushed out of a short section with a garden hose. Since it can handle water, there was no need to wait for it to dry. The utility bathroom was the worst. Spiders had nested in the bath tub. Not anymore. Then there is the small space one of the cats had been secretly pooping in. It sucked it all up with a minimal number breaks to clear the hose line. But that did get old, so I turned on the blower, made a small pile in the corner and blew most of it into a dust pan. The rest of the remaining debris was easy to vacuum. Despite being a heavy duty sucking and blowing machine, it remains light weight. Even the hose and power cord are minimal in bulk. It is just enough to meet your needs while still being able to get the job. This was great for me with my chronic pain condition as bulky vacuums just make everything hard and harder means more pain. The power cord is short, but that is great, because there is less tripping over a pointlessly long cable. If you really need a longer run, thats what an extension cord is for. I only needed an extension for about 10% of the job, and was so glad not to have to deal with several feet of needless cords. This shop vac comes highly recommended!

Serendipity - and 5 stars
Hi Friends, The short version: I recommend this vac, easy assembly, great suckage, nice big visible power button. The long version: I recently purchased a cabin/weekender to escape to once in a while. So, I recently ordered a bunch of stuff to 'stock' the place, and had added a canister vac to my initial list. When I placed the order - that vac was no longer available, Bummer. I noticed this Vacmaster VBV1210 on the 'customers also viewed' list and on a sheer whim added it to my order with little if any research - and bonus (as you will soon find out) it is a wet-dry vac. The order arrived, and last weekend my mom's cousin and I made a trek to the cabin to kick the tires, turn on the water/well since the freeze season was over. By chance I decided to put the boxed Vacmaster into the car, heck it had to go up anyway why wait for the movers at the end of May? Several hours later we arrived, moved stuff from the car inside, and eventually ventured into the dark and eery crawl space to turn on the well/pump, water heater, and so on. We met Hammy, my non-rent paying chipmunk who was rather shocked to see us in his chip-cave. We turned everything on, and all seemed to be ok. As we helped each other hoist our middle-age bodies out of Hammy's domain, we heard a somewhat unsettling rush of water. "Hmm," I said, "sounds like the shower was left on when they drained the pipes." Close, but no banana. We entered the lovely vintage 1983 blue-everything-including-the-toilet bathroom to realize that there is a pipe in the wall that was disconnected as part of the drain process, which the sellers had not felt the compunction to mention. It was a mini-Niagra with a gusher emanating from the blue formica closet - not unlike old faithful. Water water everywhere and not a mop in sight. I dove back to the crawlspace, again causing Hammy not insignificant terror. He was like, WTF!? I shut the pump off, and went back up to find several inches of water in the blue-beauty bath - which was now flowing with verve out the door. Like the wondertwins, my cousin and I activated and both immediately said "THE VAC!" Mind you, there were no towels, no mops, nothing at all in the all-but-empty cabin. Luckily, the wet-dry vac was mere feet away. We ripped open the box and began assembly, literally tossing the instructions to the side. There is no time to do things properly when in panic mode! Fortunately, assembly was easy-peasy, the hardest part being locating the attachments and hose (they are stored in the central canister for easy shipping). Still, we had the thing together and plugged in within 60 seconds. Without our glasses. I turned it on, and within moments sucked up the gallons of water that had baptized my fabulous formica and pooled on the floor. The vac has great suction and made short work of the mini-flood. I later used in to suck up some debris from a bit of wall-demo, which the vacmaster also sucked up with ease. So, I sure am glad that quite by chance, I ended up with this unit and it ended up in the car on our first trip. It sort of got us out of a pickle. Mind you, this review is based only on a few uses one afternoon - it is not a long term review. And, I ended up saving about $45 vs. the one I had originally planned on getting. Pros: simple simple assembly, it has great suction, and has a blower detachable (I have not yet tried). Cons: the only slight thing that could be improved is the cord length, seemed a bit short 4-6 more feet would be great (when I used it later in the day, it kept coming unplugged as I tugged the unit around because the cord is maybe only 4-5 feet long - just a guess). Anyway, I would recommend this unit at least based on my initial use. I promise on my next visit up there to read the assembly instructions :)

LOVE this shop vac!! Must have tool for our garage.
I bought a dinky little hand held car vacuum to get pet hair out of my car, and it was absolutely pathetic. I bit the bullet and purchased this bad boy and I sure wish I had just spent the extra money and bought this from the start! I has paid for itself a million times over since I bought it! Just so you know, I am a professional dog hiker - meaning I take a different group of 6-8 dogs hiking off leash on mountain trails in the area every morning, M-F, rain, snow or shine! As you can imagine, my minivan (aka the dog van) gets absolutely disgusting between the hair, burrs, mud and dirt and everything else that dogs track or bring in with them after our hikes! I clean it out once a week and the biggest part of that is using this to vacuum the hair and dirt out of every single nook and cranny. With the attachments provided and I can seriously reach every one of them! It is very light weight and was easy to assemble with the included instructions. It's simple to pull and maneuver around and best of all, the suction power is incredible!!! I've been using it for 6 months now and it still works just as well as the first day I bought it. I love that it has both wet and dry capability and the capacity is huge! The blower option is a nice feature too! Truly, this thing is worth every penny. My only minor complaint is that I wish the cord was longer and I wish it had a better system for managing the cord when not in use, but that is a small thing to me compared with how it actually works. I definitely recommend! And yes, I paid full price for this.
