J-2S Jiffy Garment Steamer with Plastic Head and Stainless Steel Face, 120 Volt,Grey

I purchased this steamer in December 2019 for use in our church clothing center to steam donated clothing items. Our previous steamer from another manufacturer stopped working after only a year of service. The problem turned out to be an "open" in the fusible link for which I was unable to find a replacement for. So after reading a lot of product reviews I selected the Jiffy J-2M Garment Steamer. I was immediately impressed with this unit right out of the box. It is a very solidly built machine, everything from the cast aluminum housing down to the casters testify of quality engineering. Assembly was a breeze. I love the fact that the supplied wrench for tightening the rod set and the hose to the base has magnets attached to it so it can be stored on the underside of the base. When I filled the water bottle and powered it up, I had steam within just a few minutes. The water bottle is designed so that it is held in place by the weight of the water; if the bottle gets too low it will fall out of the base. This is a great design as it alerts the operator that the bottle needs to be re-filled. Other things that I like about this steamer are: it is made in the USA, it has a three year warranty, and they supply a comprehensive user manual. The user manual includes a complete wiring diagram and parts list for each of their steamer models. It also includes their mailing address and contact information (with a toll free number) for service and to order replacement parts. I think with proper cleaning and maintenance this steamer should provide many years of service. And one last thing, Jiffy has been in business since 1940.

I have had this steamer since 05/25/2024 and I use it everyday!! The steam generates quickly and the heavy metal head also acts like an iron. It is a product that I could not live without. Easily removes the wrinkles from my clothes. I love it when my clothes look crisp and not slept in!! Tips: Keep the head horizontal and that cuts down on water leakage. Very easy to use. So far no issues with daily use for past 1 year and 5 months!!

I can't give a review on the longevity of the product but I can say that it is really great at it's intended purpose. I've tried a cheaper steamer in the past and gave up on steaming altogether because it didn't perform anywhere near satisfactory. This one on the other hand performs as good as steaming can get. I read reviews of people burning themselves and complaining. For me that was the indicator to buy this thing. Any fool proof or dummy proof steamer isn't going to yield good results. The steam on the J-2M model beats all the other cheap fool proof steamers. Note: I highly recommend the metal handle (must have). It gets just as hot as a iron when the steam heats it up and is completely necessary for ironing while steaming particularly on cotton. They sell vertical ironing boards that can be used to hang your clothes on and steam iron against. I bought a half body manikin from sears during their closing sale that I use to steam press/iron my button down cotton shirts against. It gets all the creases out just like a iron with the added benefit of being a lot easier than a iron. I tend to create accidental creases with a plain iron prolonging the time and effort involved. With the Jiffy steamer the steam and hot metal handle are very easy to work with and some how magically don't create accidental creases. So far I'm very happy with the steamer. BTW, the build on this thing is like none other. Really high quality. It feels like a product similar to what I would imagine was built in the 1960's when companies took pride in what they produced.

I’ve wanted a Jiffy steamer for a long time and finally purchased one—just like my mom had. It’s built to last, and when I had an issue with a part, their customer service was fantastic. Steaming clothes has surprisingly become my favorite chore—it’s quick, satisfying, and almost meditative. There’s something so calming about watching wrinkles disappear effortlessly. I loved it so much I bought one for my daughter, knowing she’ll have it forever. If you’re considering one, don’t wait—it’s a game-changer! Wish I could give it 10 ⭐️ stars!

I started with a cotton shirt that I hate to iron. Ok, that was easy. Then I did a long cotton shawl that I had just knit. Then a cashmere cowl. There is no stopping me now. I might sell my Rowenta iron. Speed of steam was very good, a lifetime investment, worth it. It is substantial. No leaking if you follow the insteuctions.

JIFFY IS AN AMAZING COMPANY. I HAVE BEEN USING A STEAMER JUST LIKE THIS ONE FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS. EXCEPT THAT MY OLD ONE DOES NOT HAVE A METAL HANDLE FOR ME TO HOLD. THE NEW ONE HAS BETTER ROLLERS, TOO. BUT I AM SORRY TO SAY MY NEW ONE DOES NOT PUT OUT THE STEAM POWER THAT THE OLD ONE DOES.WONDER WHY?MY OLD ONE IS ACTUALLY HELD TOGETHER WITH DUCT TAPE WHERE THE PLASTIC "IRONING APPARATUS" MEETS THE HOSE. I DROPPED IT ON A CONCRETE FLOOR AND IT BUSTED. LEARNED MY LESSON. THIS TIME I GOT A METAL ONE AND I LOVE IT. I DO HAVE TO GO OVER SOME THINGS MORE THAN A FEW TIMES BUT I WILL LIVE! JUST WISH FOR MORE STEAM RELEASE POWER. AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? STILL WOULDN'T USE A DIFFERENT ONE.

Expensive, but since my wife used one at the local volunteer thrift shop she worked at, we had to have one. Laurie, gretz, all we can get a little more precision with an ironing board, this thing is too handy, and quick. Get the heat glove and don't burn your wrist.

Esta es la tercera vaporera que compramos de la misma marca en los últimos 10 o más años. Son muy buenas para quitarle las arrugas a la ropa. En la casa se usa diario. La ropa dura más al evitar algunas lavadas. Pues además de planchar, quita olores. La tecnología no ha cambiado desde hace décadas, lo cual la hace confiable. Mi única recomendación es comprarla con la cabeza de vaporizador metálica. Dura más y hace mejor trabajo.

Es un producto muy efectivo y recomendable, ya que son expertos en sistemas de planchado.

I own a small upholstery shop, and a good steamer is crucial in my business. Jiffy is well known as the best in the industry, and the J-2 model I just received is just the quality I need. It’s quick to heat up and gives off a lot of steam. It arrived with a broken castor, and when I emailed the company, they got back to me promptly to send me a new one (it just clicks on, easy to replace myself). I was very impressed with their helpfulness in this matter.

Awesome. Heavy because metal but it does help with getting rid of stubborn wrinkles. Just an awesome machine that makes ironing a breeze. 100% would recommend.
