Smart Hub Gateway: Zigbee & Bluetooth Mesh Multi-Protocol Communication Gateway, App Remote Control, Voice Control, Intelligent Home Bridge, ONLY Support Tuya Smart Devices

If you have SENGLED light bulbs (or any Sengled smart product, Im assuming) that no longer work with Alexa BUY THIS!!! I know its super frustrating to spend more money in order to get something you already paid for to work again BUT if you have multiple bulbs like I do (aka my entire house!) Its way cheaper to spend the $23-$24 on this than replacing all my smart light bulbs with a different brand. I was shocked when I opened it because its so tiny, thought no way it would work but it does!! Very easy to use, download the SmartLife app, make should your phone is connected to the 2.4 version of your home wifi, push and hold the only button for 5 secs and it will connect no issue at all! It also automatically connected to my Alexa app but I already had to SmartLife app and had already enabled the skill and connected my account in my Alexa app so you'll likely have to do that if its a new app for you. Then I deleted all the bulbs from Alexa 1st to make it easier. Then back to SmartLife app click on the picture of the little square device then hit Zigbee then add new device ... again super annoying but you have to go around to every light your house (one light switch at a time) and put the bulbs into pairing mode (quickly turn then on and off 10 times) it will start flashing. Now sometimes it will try to trick you the flashing will stop but nothing happens on your phone screen, it still says searching, be patient wait like 10-15 sec it will start flashing again then it stops and your phone finds it. Name the bulb and it automatically gets added into Alexa! Im so excited to be able to have capability to control my lights with my voice again! This tiny thing saved me SO MUCH money!!

The hub was really easy to connect to Smart life, it was recognized right away. That's where the success ended. Several zigbee Sengled bulbs in pairing mode were able to connect to the GW018-dm smart hub gateway, but the bulbs never display in the app. The app continued to spin and would not show the connected devices. I tried several bulbs in turn, and each one would fail. I tried remove the hub from Smart Life, I tried the Tuya app where it was recognized as a hub right away as well, but the same failed connections to the Sengled Zigbee bulbs. Within smart life there are two options to add devices, either native through the app and using the GW018-DM as the selected hub, or clicking into the hub and searching for bluethooth or zigbee devices there. WIth both routes, the zigbee bulb would flash RGB colors to show a successful connection, but they would never be displayed in the app. I would not recommend this device to anyone else.

This little gateway solved my issues with two outside Bluetooth lights. I needed a gateway between the Bluetooth and my WiFi. I plugged it in, opened my Smartlife app, clicked the plus + sign at the top right. Smartlife automatically loaded the gateway. It needed a firmware update so I did that also. After it was installed and updated, i clicked on the Gateway and clicked the + sign at the bottom and clicked on add device. I put my lights in Bluetooth pairing mode, one at a time. It found each light, I named them differently and it all worked. I use Smartlife for lots of other Smart stuff around the house. My Smartlife was already linked to Alexa and Google Home, so Alexa immediately picked up on the new device. I mounted the gateway just inside my garage door so the lights could stay connected to the gateway. I had no issues installing it, no issues with Alexa or Google Home. I cannot speak about Zigbee devices. Hopefully the doesn't drop like other reviewers are saying, so, I will update if needed.

Most of the time. Sometimes the motion sensors connected to this gateway do not cause the automation to turn the lights on or off.

After I lost functionality with my Sengled hub (they apparently stopped supporting the servers), I bought this as a replacement for all of my 30+ Zigbee light bulbs. I’m back online and my lightbulbs work great. The app that goes along with it is more robust than the Sengled hub app as well. Definitely recommend if your Zigbee Sengled products no longer work!

Using the device to connect automation in the house. I’ve added button remotes, sensors, and light controllers. It helps as a gateway to connect other wireless signal devices to the house through SmartLife app.

if your smart device doesnt work with tuya or there smart life app dont waste your money and time returning this pos. From the way it is made to sound it should work with any smart home device because this can talk to them nope. this isnt a general smart bridge this is only a tuya smart bridge.

First of all, I was shocked at how tiny this device is but it's perfect as a Zigbee gateway. I set it up in less than 5 minutes to my WiFi using the Smart Life App. Then I added a Greywind smart blind using Zigbee in less than 5 minutes. Then, I opened the Alexa app and linked Smart Life for voice commands. And the price is unbelievable for what you get. If you are looking for a Zigbee gateway, you can't beat the price and ease of use.
