Pretty big upgrade! If you are used to with the common roadside knives, then this would be a very good step up. the quality of the steel is perfect at the price point, perhaps better than the local shops. Note, you will need to have whetstone, or a good quality knife sharpener made for carbon steel to sharpen it. it comes fairly sharpened but with all good knives, after some time it will definitely need some. shape is very comfortable for daily use and even heavy (meat cutting) usage.

Quite sharp, but not exceptional. Needs fair bit of force to cut the thick part of a carrot. Feels sturdy.Star rating may change depending on how long the sharpness lasts.

The Knife is not premium as branded or marketed. Hughly doubtful it is even stainless steel of good quality. After using the knife on a wooden board for 6 months, the edges are blunted and some places even rusted. The durability hence is highly questionable. I have another knife from Victoria which is serated knife (small knife for tomatoes and soft items) almost the same price (cheaper end product from Victoria). Both of them were bought at same time and I cannot tell if that knife is 6 months old except for the marks from washing with hard scrubber. So, don't recommend to buy this and instead buy a good Santoku knife from a reputed brand.
