Don't even think about it; just get it!
I received this Nesting Ball yesterday afternoon and couldn't wait to write a review about how happy I am! This Nesting Ball is a magnate for birds building their Spring nests. I'm not a bird fanatic, but we do enjoy our backyard birds antics and have several feeders and birdbaths. As soon as I got this Nesting Ball, I hung it up asap. I placed it on an tall hook on my deck along their route between a lilac bush and the feeders as they dart back and forth all day long between the two. Once the birds found this by the next day, it turned into an all-day long habit for a pair of Chickadees. The fluff mounds they flew away with were bigger than their heads! I can watch it from my living room, dining room and kitchen and I find myself constantly looking up at it; they are quick and if you are not watching at that very moment, you'll miss it. I hesitated in purchasing this (do I really need it?), but I am so glad I bought it. The ball is completely filled, and I reached in to pluck the filling out a little. I will leave it up all summer since I frequently spotted Golden Finches tugging at the coconut fibers of my hanging baskets last summer. The company will soon have pouches of the Alpaca hair to purchase for future use, but I think that this basket as-is will last for more than one season. Yes, get it!!!

Adorable Nesting Ball for Birds
I placed this near my back deck, near a hummingbird feeder. The material is so soft and natural. Not sure who's using it, but the material is being pulled from the sturdy yet gorgeous ball. I have a great many birds visiting my backyard. Woodpeckers: Northern Flicker, Downy Woodpecker, and Pileated Woodpecker are prevalent. Chickadees & Titmice: Carolina Chickadee and Tufted Titmouse are common in wooded areas. Nuthatches: White-breasted and Red-breasted Nuthatches are frequently spotted. Wrens: Carolina Wren and House Wren are among the species found. Sparrows: Species like the Chipping Sparrow, Song Sparrow, and Field Sparrow are common. Larks: The Horned Lark is notable in open fields. Meadowlarks: Eastern Meadowlark is frequently heard in grasslands. Finches: American Goldfinch and House Finch are common at feeders. Pigeons & Doves: Rock Pigeon and Mourning Dove are frequently seen in urban areas. Crows & Jays: American Crow and Blue Jay are widespread in various habitats. And even the occasional Hawks: Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper's Hawk, and Broad-winged Hawk are among the species found. Eagles: Bald Eagle sightings have become more frequent in recent years. Owls: Eastern Screech Owl, Great Horned Owl, and Barn Owl are notable nocturnal hunters. The kids love watching to see what birds take material from the nesting ball to build their nests. It's fun for my kids as they collect suitable materials to recycle from old fabrics and refill the well-sized ball. We love it! I think it is worth every penny.

Birds not interested
Birds making nests in my backyard ignored it. It's not the product's fault.

Our birds love these!
These vine balls have worked great and are favored (more than our metal holders) by our birds. The vine balls keep the fluff in securely, but still loose enough that it dries quickly after a rain. We're in Colorado, so we don't get those long-lasting, deep-drenching rains - if you're in a wet zone you may still want to give it a bit of protection.

Cute twiggy basket filled with nesting material.
Haven’t used it yet, waiting for the snow to melt, but I hope the birds like it when it gets hung up.

Hummingbird approved!
My hummingbirds dove right in to this thing, with a little bit of attitude that I waited so long and we were already at the first freeze before I provided this plus wool for their little nests. Happy birds, happy life!

Not recommended
The Nesting Ball: I had purchased a nesting ball from a feed store last month and it was wonderful so I thought I would purchase one online as a gift but when it arrived, it was so cheaply made I cannot give. The Twigs extremely sparse and so thin the first bird that comes we’ll break it into pieces I do not recommend this product

Nesting balls
The grapevine is not very substantial so I am concerned how well it will hold up to the birds landing and taking the fur. Also the ball is smaller than I expected. However finding nesting balls is a challenge so hopefully they will hold up
