Dermatologist Dry Skin Repair Cream 10% Urea – Medical grade moisturiser with Glycerin and Urea by Dr Andrew Birnie, suitable for sensitive skin – 200 ml

I struggle a lot with dry skin and having tried before also the sunscreen from Altruist I thought I'd give this cream a try as well. I am very glad that the cream is unscented, as I had many times trouble with creams having a scent too strong or not to my liking that I ended up keeping on a shelf until they expired and then they ended up in the bin. Then, this cream really works. The crocodile skin on my legs that was also felling itchy and stingy got an immediate relief. The dkin becomes almost instantly soft and you don't need to apply a huge amount. Of course, it will not repair the skin with just one application, but I can see a real improvement after only a few times using it. Perhaps a tiny downside is that the skin remains a bit sticky after cream application, but far less compared to other creams I've used and not on the greasy side, but just a bit sticky to the touch. Overall, for me, a clear winner and great discovery.

Adoro i prodotti del marchio Altruist! Creati da un dermatologo inglese che si occupa di cancro della pelle, ha lanciato anche questa crema per pelli secche con glicerina, bisavolo e urea al 10%. Prezzo fantastico a 6 euro per una formulazione molto efficace e ben 200ml. Il prezzo accessibile e' dovuto al fatto che il Dott. Birnie ha creato il marchio non per fare soldi ma per dare la possibilità a tutti di poter usare prodotti efficaci, senza prezzi gonfiati dal marketing o packaging di lusso che non servono a niente se non a far intascare soldi alle multinazionali. La sto usando in inverno sulla pelle secca e mi trovo benissimo. Puo' essere usata anche come crema per le mani: la pelle rimane morbida e liscia. Non ha alcuna profumazione (fattore essenziale per me che non sopporto i profumi) si stende facilmente, non appiccica e si asciuga velocemente. Il flacone eroga la giusta quantità' di prodotto. Prodotto decisamente consigliato! Consiglio vivamente anche i solari di questo marchio che hanno un ottimo INCI ed un prezzo decisamente abbordabile. Preferisco spendere soldi per cause come quelle del Dott. Birnie piuttosto che dare soldi a multinazionali che vendono prodotti a prezzi da strozzinaggio a fronte di marketing e specchietti per le allodole, e non di efficacia del prodotto stesso.

This is my holy grail moisturiser for dry skin! It is thick and rich but absorbs quickly. My skin is sensitive and my legs often sting after shaving but this immediately soothes my skin. It doesn’t have sexy packaging but it’s fantastic quality and value for money. I love that it is in a tube and not a tub, so I don’t have to dig my fingers in (also more hygienic) and it’s easy to apply. Personally, I like that it is fragrance free

I get "winter skin" every year from the temps and low humidity, and every year I cycle through a bunch of creams and ointments to try and mend the inevitable cracking and bleeding. Aquaphor, Working Hands, shea butter hand creams, all utter failures. On a whim I ordered this. And no one is more surprised than I am to see visible and substantial improvement in a matter of days. My patches of dry, cracked, and inflamed skin (especially the palmar aspect of my hands and fingers from hand washing) were 50% healed by Day #2, and 4 days later are without redness and restored to normal texture. Yes, it must be reapplied daily, at least for me, as the dryness and cold persist, and handwashing is a must. But the slick feeling after application subsides in minutes, leaving no sticky residue. Oh, and it's wonderful for rough skin on feet too. Miraculous stuff.
