Fit as described, easy to install

DID AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO DO.

My 03 Silverado stock CD player stopped working about a year ago and I didn't want to pay someone to install a new stereo so I have been suffering with the radio only. Recently I mentioned this to someone and they told me how easy it is to get the dash plate off by just pulling on it. Boy did I feel stupid! Anyway once I found this and saw what needed done I found this adapter on Amazon and pulled the trigger. Let me tell you, for something so simple and inexpensive I couldn't be happier. New stereo head (Sony from Amazon) went in easy and fit perfectly. The holes lined right up and the included shims made everything line up perfectly in the dash. No gaps, everything is firm like OEM and now I have a pocket for a CD or my Droid when using it for the music source.

Nice kit, did not fit my 2002 GMC Sonoma SLS though so bad to square one again

Fits 2006 Chevy Trailblazer perfectly. I was a little nervous about the fit with ordering online but I was not disappointed. When fully installed it is perfectly flush with the dash trim. Pro-tip use the spacers provided to make it flush. works with my pioneer receiver, after install receiver feels solid (no movement when pressing any of the buttons). Would definitely recommend, especially with the low price.

It's cheap and it fits the dash of my '03 Impala perfectly, which is great, but those are about the only high points. It comes with nothing at all to physically secure the deck into the dash kit. Most others, like the Metra version of this same kit, come with brackets that hold the deck's sleeve in place. The only reason I didn't rate it lower for this is because I'm technically inclined enough to fabricate a workaround without much trouble. Other quirks: The CD pocket has small holes at the back, so if any small objects fall into the pocket, they'll end up rattling around inside your dash unless you cover the holes before installation. Also, the trim ring looks nice but it's designed to be universal, and it's not a perfect fit for my JVC deck. It works fine, but I had to take a Sharpie and darken some exposed aluminum on the deck that was visible through the gaps. It would be better if the kit's bezel was flat across so I could use the trim ring that came with the deck. All in all I made it work fine, I only had to do it once, and nobody who looks will ever be able to see its flaws. So I guess I'm satisfied enough.

Works as it should. Fits a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Had to use the included front slide in, instead of the one to come with the stereo, but works just the same.
