LEGO Batman - PC

The only reason I didn't like this one as much is b/c there's no main plot. Every level is its own, contained episode, and they "story" isn't much of one. (Also, the boat levels are kinda painful.) However, that optomizes co-play, especially if you play with children. I really enjoyed being able to switch between the Batcave overworld and Arkham Assylum. Neither overworld was too interesting in themselves, but the gear shift kept the game fresh. Plus, it was neat to switch from a do-gooder to a villian whenever I wanted.I don't recommend this game to a kid's first Lego game unless you plan on helping them through it. There's a lot of weird gameplay aspects unique to Lego games that aren't explained well in this game -- how the overworld system works (it's different than the traditional methods), how you know which level to use next, how and when to re-play levels to your best advantage, how and when to buy bonuses. A common question I find online is "where do I go next?" and "how do I find x level?" If your child can't read paragraphs of text yet, and doesn't know how to use walkthroughs, they may not stick with this game. Try Harry Potter or Marvel Avengers, maybe.

My son is 5 years old, I got this game for his upcoming b-day in may 2012 but gave it to him as a reward a couple of weeks ago for doing well in school.Positives: He LOVES it. He would play it all day if I let him. He wakes up talking about Lego Batman, he dreams Lego Batman, he tries to build Lego Batman things he sees in the game with his legos. It has great graphics, game play, story line, music, videos. Two players can play, I play with him all the time. The characters don't even talk but they are very comical. There is no blood and guts, the characters break into lego pieces. You can play as heroes and villains and drive hero and villain cars and boats. Batman and Robin have different suits that help you. There is plenty of play after you finish all the levels.The few negatives: The controls are a little difficult for him at times, for me a little bit too. We got stuck on a couple of levels but looked it up online how to figure it out. The main annoyance is it freezes sometimes but in the end, thumbs up. He loves it, I love it.

A fun game to play with a friend. It was a bit short (my wife and I beat it in just a few days) and the combat system isn't the best, but it is a fun time.

Game has variety of characters, kids each have their favorites. Wide variety of settings geared toward specific characters and their unique suits (i.e. flying batman, suction-cup robin,...).Game controls could be more refined. It's too easy to fall off ledges and go off course. This makes the game more challenging(frustrating) than it should be...regardless the age.The focal point of the game is the characters, and is really why my kids love it. My son especially loves free play mode since he can cycle through all of the characters.Game was a great bargain. Can't wait to buy the sequel on sale.

This is a really cute game. If the kids like lego characters and have a computer to play on, then this would be appropriate for any age as long as the child has good enough computer game skills to be able to understand how to read and can understand general commands. We bought this for my son when he was 8 years old.

Great old school game

The game is good, but there is a ton of lag. I have a strong internet connection and still has bad lag and glitches. I don't know what might cause it.
