I was consistently using another brand of pre shave oil, but decided to give this one a try. I’m glad that I did. Nothing against the previous brand, but this one just seems to work different…better. I’m someone who shaves my head 3-5 times a week. I’m just not a fan of dealing with hair. Anyhow, I also have a sensitive scalp. So I’m always worried about razor burn or break outs. Especially using safety razor. But when I used this stuff, along with the usual shaving soap I use, it was night and day different. The razor just seemed to slide over my scalp as opposed to pulling out the hair. And the end result was honestly smoother and closer of a shave than I’ve had in a long time. The scent is not overpowering, and it’s definitely not greasy. My scalp and face feel smooth and don’t get razor burn so much now. Honestly, this is some good stuff. I will be buying it again.

I like it so far. Smells good and is very slick. My only complaint is that there isn’t a bigger size to buy. 1oz is small.

There are three types of pre-electric shaving lotions. One that is mainly alcohol. One that is mainly oil. And one that combines the two. The alcohol types are good for getting your beard to stand up, but without the oil there tends to be a lot of razor burn. The oil based offer a very smooth and comfortable shave, but since the beard doesn't stand up the shave isn't as close. This is an oil based lotion. I find it very comfortable, and it only takes about 5 drops to prepare my face for shaving. I don't get a very close shave but it's good enough. One thing to note: this does have a scent to it. Some folks like a scent, some don't.
