A Wonderful Fragrance.
If you like a strongly scented sandalwood after-shower powder, this is the one to get. I like it a lot. Equally important, my wife likes it (on me).

A true sandalwood scent in a quality body powder.
If you like the scent of sandalwood, this is the powder for you. Although I prefer the scent of another brand of sandalwood powder, this Mysore powder has a true sandalwood scent. Five stars alone for authenticity and quality. I ordered sandalwood powder and that's exactly what I got. Also I want to add that 300 grams makes for a generous amount of powder. I feel that the value is great. I have spent more to get much less. The packaging is not as pictured but I have no complaints. Although there seems to be only a single hole to dispense with, this is not a problem as most people would probably dispense to their hands before applying. I find the dispenser to be great because it doesn't put too much powder out at once, just the right amount. All in all I feel like a good purchase was made. I like the product, it is quite authentic, the aroma is true sandalwood and the value was pretty great.

Mysore talc is wonderful. Like the soap could use a bit more fragrance.
This talc is a little heavier than some and stays where you put. It could use a tiny bit more fragrance. Overall, a wonderful talc.

Generous amount of talc powder
I love the talc in this powder, however, the fragrance is very overpowering to me. Maybe it’s because it came from India and is a cultural thing to have heavily scented products.

Refreshing !
As wonderful as the, Mysore Sandal Talc powder is the securing tape for shipping leaves a lot to be desired. In order to remove the tape the entire front and back label came with it.

Works great!
It is a very mild fragrance of sandalwood, not as strong as the mysore sandalwood soap unfortunately, but this is a nice product!

NOT a Good Match for the Soap (Seller keeps down-voting this negative review, so beware)
I ordered the Mysore Sandal soap and really liked it. It has a very nice fragrance in the bath although it does not scent the skin for long afterward. Since I liked the soap, and since there were so many positive reviews of the talc, I ordered the three pack from this seller. They arrived pretty quickly and in good condition, but they were already a couple of years old---not good. Items should be fresh. In any case, after using the talc for a few weeks, I can say in all fairness that I am not impressed with it. Firstly, the talc's scent is not a good match for the soap (as some reviewers correctly observed before me). Secondly, it feels quite rough against my skin compared to other bath powders I have used, e.g. Shower to Shower which is very soft and very dry and silky. This powder does not give me the "dry" feeling that other powders do. As for it smelling like sandalwood...well, I suppose there is some resemblance, but it is not a strong resemblance. I admit, I am comparing this relatively inexpensive scent to the sublime sandalwood in vintage Guerlain Samsara, which costs considerably more. However, I would be willing to pay considerably more for a better sandalwood scent in a talc. Some reviewers have complained about the single hole through which the powder pours. Honestly, I find no great difference between it and bottles that use multiple holes, e.g. Shower to Shower and similar. The powder pours into your hand as much as you wish. I apply it by putting the talc in one hand first, then dumping it into the other hand. What is left on the first hand I apply to my skin. I repeat this process over and over until I have finished. It works fine for me. For those who do not like this method, they can always transfer the powder to an old fashioned powder jar/box and use a powder puff. The reason I hesitate to do this is because I think the plastic bottles will preserve the fragrance better than most powder jars/boxes which are much less air tight. In conclusion, this is not a "bad" product, but it is not such a good product that I ever would repurchase it. Unfortunately, I have three bottles of it to use up, which is the biggest drawback of all. Now, I wish I had purchased the one bottle fulfilled by Amazon. It was a bit more expensive, but given my feelings about this talc, in the end it would have been cheaper to spend a little more on one bottle than to "save money" by buying a three pack. I am sure there are many people who will like this talc more than I do, so I do not discourage anyone from giving it a try; however, buy one bottle first to discover whether or not you would like to use it regularly. Fragrance: 2 out of 5 Silkiness: 0 out of 5 Good match to the soap: 1 out of 5. Edited 03 October 17: I have worn this talc during the day without incident; however, one night I wore it to bed. I applied it all along my arms, etc. Within minutes of snuggling down in bed, my face began to burn like mad. I went to the bathroom and saw that it had become swollen, red, and itchy. There is obviously some ingredient in the talc that must be kept a way from my face. It does not seem to bother the rest of my body. Beware if you have allergies.

Absolutely divine genuine sandalwood fragrance, really long lasting scent. I’m glad I tried this brand because it’s much more intense than others I’ve used in the past. Really great product and it’s a big bottle that will last a long time. They didn’t scrimp on quality or quality which is a rare thing these days. But it you won’t regret it.

Intenso, morbido, profumatissimo. A prima vista sembra troppo forte, ma poi lascia un aroma sulla pelle devastante...davvero buono e sexy :-)

Mysore Sandal Talc is a timeless classic that never goes out of style. The moment you open the bottle, you're greeted with the rich, soothing aroma of pure sandalwood—a scent that’s both calming and long-lasting. It gives a sense of freshness that's perfect for hot and humid climates. The talcum powder itself is smooth and fine, gliding easily onto the skin without feeling heavy or chalky. It helps absorb sweat and keeps me feeling dry and refreshed for hours. It's especially effective when used after a shower, leaving the skin soft and lightly fragranced.

Well, talcum powder tends to get a bad press nowadays. I do not think it should, providing it is used sensitively and with discretion. Anyway, as I recall this particular talcum powder uses medical grade talcum and should be fine. It is an absolute bargain for a large container, and smells wonderfully of sandalwood. I have read a review that says it does not, but I have been to the sandalwood oil distillery in Mysore which provides the sandalwood fragrance for this talcum powder. I do not know of the sandalwood experience of the other reviewer, but I can assure readers that the smell of this talc is completely the smell of genuine Mysore sandalwood - the best sandalwood oil there is! I have used this talcum powder for years, and I highly recommend it.
