No Complaints - Seriously
At $2 a piece, with free shipping, even if these batteries didn't work at all, how could I possibly complain? I'm giving a 5-star rating because the batteries work well, fit perfectly in my T1i, and cost almost nothing. A few other reviewers said the battery gets stuck inside their camera. To address this, I put a "tape handle" on as recommended by one reviewer before testing mine out. Maybe I just got lucky, but the batteries (I ordered 2) both fit perfectly and popped in and out just like my real Canon battery. I didn't even need the tape handle that I attached to both before testing. They function just like the real Canon battery. I'm using these on a week long hiking trip where I won't have any access to ac power and from my tests so far, they should work great.

Terrible battery
This battery was awful. It didn't fit in my camera and I had to loop a small ribbon around it so I could pull it out every time I needed to get it out of my camera. I spent a few more dollars to buy the Opteka brand battery for my canon and it is a much better product.

Cheaper and better than the real thing
Well this is sold as a replacement for the official battery you get from canon. It costs one fifth as much. So far so great. The picture here indicates that it has the same capacity as the canon one: 1060mAh. That's not accurate. The one I received is marked 2000mAh. Twice as much capacity! Of course those things are not always accurate, but...well, it's holding up pretty well. It's hard to gauge because both of these batteries last so long in the XSI. But it definitely performs well. In another location someone reviewed a generic replacement for this battery and said it was a slightly different size than the real one from canon and that you would have to pull it out with a toothpick or something. That's not true of mine. It fits perfectly and is exactly the same dimensions. It falls right out when you move the lever that holds it in place...just like the official canon version. So besides capacity, what is different from the canon battery? This one is physically lighter. Everything I've seen from this battery is better than the one canon sells. It's a real winner. I may just buy another one!

Replacement battery for Canon T1I performs like factory original
This battery performs as well for me as the original Canon battery, yet it costs a fraction of the cost of the Canon battery. Even with shipping, the cost is so low that you can afford several. Keep them charged and take them on the "big shoot" and never worry about losing a shot because the battery went dead. So far (two months of moderate use) the battery charges like the original, holds a charge as well as the original, and provides about the same number of shots or video time as the original. I have had no issues with long charging time, battery heating up while charging, swelling or warping of the battery, or battery life. I can't speak to how the battery will perform in a year or more, but so far I am very satisfied, and particularly happy with the price that allowed me to buy two very reasonably.

Lasts a little less than the original
It's a good value for your money but you must understand that everything comes with something good and also something bad. The good thing is this battery works fine, charges fast & it`s cheap. The bad thing is it lasts a little bit less than the original (25% less shots I would say) even when they offer it is got more mAh capacity and suggest this would las more than the original, it is not true. But it works fine. So you decide, expensive and perfect or cheap and almost perfect; you gotta keep in mind you`re never going to get the perfect deal... It is a good value for your money.

Great second battery - so far!!!
As of this review this battery seems to hold its charge as well as the original Canon battery pack. I had to remove the paper/plastic label in order for the battery to easily fit in the battery slot of my Canon Rebel XSi. The original battery doesn't have an external label either. Very close tolerance on the battery compartment. Anyway, this is a non-issue, but when the label is removed the battery fits perfect. So far I highly recomend at this fantastic price!!!

great backup battery
the battery I received was a 1600mAh instead of the 2000mah pictured. However it might be the same battery with a more honest label. The battery fits perfect looks well made and so far has been working great. Hard to go wrong for this price.

OK, but not the same as a Canon battery
I have had my camera (and this battery) for ~11months. When I first bought it, I couldn't tell the difference between the Canon battery and this one. Now, when I let it sit for a month, the replacement battery won't even power up the camera while the Canon battery has a full charge. The replacement battery works fine as long as I charge it and use it within a week or so.
