W.H.Freeman & Co Ltd Updated Version of The Practice of Statistics for the APA Course (Student Edition)

Was happy with the condition of the book and the timeliness of the arrival. Thank you! Will be using this book to review my statistics as I prepare to apply for data science bootcamps.

Really good one…easily understandable given with good examples.

They reorganized the chapters. Previously, they separated confidence intervals from hypothesis testing. The new version covers procedures for proportions and means separately. The material hasn't changed substantially, as far as I can tell. I personally don't see a need for the new version. It doesn't really matter what order these topics are taught in. I'm a math tutor. The school district I work with got the new textbooks, but they haven't updated their curriculum in over a decade. They are still following the sequence of the old textbook. That means they end up combining stuff from 4 different sections into one unit. (I purchased the new book so I have the same problem #s to help students.) I don't see a need for the new textbooks if they aren't going to make the curriculum match. Given the price, it makes no sense to buy the new textbooks when they could have just used the old book.

The cover is very worn but we are very pleased with the inside of the book. Thanks for quick delivery.
