Ointment 500g

I love this ointment. It instantly soothes and doesn't burn. It very quickly absorbs even though it is an ointment. Non-greasy. A little goes a long way. I will definitely be buying it again when I get through this container.

Amazing. Saved my eczema

I got this to try with my elderly dog who has developed severe skin issues in his old age. So far nothing has worked to completely clear it up, but this cream gives him SO MUCH soothing relief. It's a great value because the container is huge, perfect because I need to slather it all over my dog's raw spots. Within 20 minutes his itchy, red, inflamed skin has settled down and he can sleep. It's like a thick cream, not greasy, and it has a very mildly medicine smell kind of like hydrocortisone. Not bad at all. So glad for this product!

When you get this huge container it looks like something industrial. The ointment itself isn't really greasy and has no scent but it's kind of between a cream and an ointment. It will get all over everything so protect whatever you don't want it on i.e. it does not dry down or absorb. After awhile I wash it off and the skin is alot smoother and less irritated. Seems okay for sensitive skin. I just wish it wasn't the type of thing where you have to babysit it after you put it on so it doesn't get on everything else. Might consider covering the area with the ointment or wearing gloves if using it on hands.

If you suffer from lichen schlerosus this is one of the standard emollient barrier creams in the UK. It is superior in every way to aquaphor and pound for pound will last you much, much longer. I’ve used it for more than a year to great success and can’t recommend it highly enough.

Hydromol Ointment. Tub size is good, Don;t really like the lid, could be better designed - with a lid that screws on fully -like the Vitamin E skin care tubs, Know this would be a change in design cost. Would be worth it for customer satisfaction, At least the contents are not liquid but a solid ointment, unlike the Vitamin E skin care moisturiser , which could leak out if accidentally dropped, thereby causing a mess. Softness of use. Easy to apply Good quality. Ideal thickness, Ideal for those with very dry skin

Sellers ships from Uk which is not disclosed on the product page. So when the product arrives, you get hit with 30 Eur custom taxes! Shipment refused and resent to seller who refunds the cost of product minus a stocking fee and minus shipping costs so you spend 40 something euros (product plus shipping) and you get back 14! Luckily that Amazon and their A-Z warranty intervened and refunded me in full. Seller to AVOID! Oh and don’t hesitate to contact Amazon if this happens to you, you are entitled to a full refund (despite seller saying otherwise) and Amazon will make sure that happens

This is an okay soap substitute but I found pump brands for sensitive hands much better. This is much more suited I feel to Eczema. I simply just have sensitive hands to soap and they dry out quick. For me I just use an easier soap use soap substitute and a cream that actually soaks in. This cream takes ages to soak in and it’s extremely greasy. This means it’s highly effective for moisturising but I found I could only use it overnight with cotton gloves in. When I didn’t use gloves it did t seem to mark anything. It was too greasy to put on during the day and do activities It smelt pretty okay, but it didn’t have a nice scent to it. This is probably good though as it means no extra rubbish to irritate skin which is the point of it. It was very thick and kind of like Vaseline making it very easy to coat your hands and not get it everywhere.
