I started using this first as a small sample given to me in a beauty subscription...it really helps with staining and the ingredients do not cause issues inside the mouth..it does not contain sodium laurel sulfate..which is an agent that breaks down the mucin barrier and can cause breaking of skin inside the mouth..I copied this from an article ..Quote".Exposure to SLS in toothpaste removes the protective mucin layer present in the soft tissues of the oral cavity. This compromises the integrity of the oral mucosa, resulting in ulceration of soft tissues (e.g., gums, inner lining of cheeks, lips, and tongue). Ulcers take about 5-8 days to heal completely..."end quote.....Ever since I found that out and I switched to this toothpaste I have not dealt with skin breaking inside my cheeks after brushing my teeth ever since..I also use the fluoride kind which Is often hard to find..flouride helps prevent cavities for me... I know at one time that it was a scare ,when flouride is added to tap water that a person could get too much fluoride..,,but if you don't drink tap water,, there shouldn't be any worry of using too much fluoride.Also the flavor of .the toothpaste is nice....It's not too strong ,it doesn't burn ..its just a nice clean mint taste..and the charcoal helps to work on any coffee or tea staining...

As I become more aware of harmful additives, I now make it a point to check ingredients with the YUKA app. hello received an excellent rating. Owned by Colgate it is nice to see that the large corps are offering alternatives to those of us who choose to be more gentle to ourselves. I love that the paste is black and tastes good. And it does work very well as my teeth are whiter and those “little sweaters” are history at the end of the day. 😁😁😁

I thought the black color of this toothpaste would freak my teen out, but instead they loved it. It has a very mild mint flavor, which my kid prefers. Personally, I wish the mint was a bit stronger because I don’t feel like it leaves my breath as fresh as other toothpastes. The whitening results, however, are excellent. We’ve noticed a real difference after using it regularly. One thing to be aware of is that it can leave dark residue in the sink, but a quick rinse takes care of it easily. Overall, it’s a fun, effective toothpaste with great whitening power, especially if you prefer a milder mint taste.

I love this fluoride toothpaste. It doesn’t produce successive foam while brushing. That’s a plus for me. And I like the taste.

My teeth have coffee and tea stains and my dental hygienist told me to use this particular toothpaste because another patient of hers had started using it and it made her teeth whiter. It’s working on getting mine whiter, although it’ll take some time
