there is no lid hole, but every pot has its own gooseneck hole. this product is really well made and works well. you never fail. but, keep in mind for maintenance, the bamboo tree tray should be washed and dried well.

about how many ounces are the cups?

Read the ad it tells you how man ml it is ....if I recall correctly it is around 200ml or approx 6 ounce Rhis not for British style of tea brewing but rather Kung Fu style........lot of leaves......less water and shorter infus8 times and also multible infusions with the same batch of tea.....
