I have memories of my mother using castor oil flannel packs for helping with fibroids. I was looking for a special moisturizing oil to use after my nightly face cleansing routine as the vitamin c serum can be drying. I bought this to apply as a nice thick moisturizer after the c serum and I used it last night and woke to a dewy and moisturized face :) I have to say I am one to really scrutinized any new product that I purchase. I wanted a Castor Oil that was Organic...this Plant Therapy brand Castor oil fit the bill. I also wanted it to be Hexane free...check :) and I like to know that they do not hurt animals by testing on them and sure enough they have the little bunny on their packaging. Another check :) Finally, the price point was affordable AND it is sourced in the USA. All great reasons to purchase this particular brand. When I opened the Amazon box I saw that they packaged this large 16 oz bottle in its own sealed plastic bag...just in case it leaked, which it did not. To my happy surprise, it came with both a flip-type cap as well as a pump. The pump is perfect for what I am going to use it for so I promptly put the pump on and it worked great for the final step in my nightly skincare routine. I am planning on using this with my favorite Rosehip seed oil to gain the benefits of both while I sleep :) Thank you for the great product, it has beautiful packaging, is at a great price point, and is a quality product backed by a great company with high standards! I would highly recommend this product!

So wish that I had discovered castor oil years ago. The money that I have wasted on creams for my face makes me want to cry. I use it under my eyes, on my eyelids, on my eyelashes (they used to be non existent, but are very thick now even though they aren't long), eyebrows and sometimes coat my lips before going to bed.

Could’ve sworn I ordered thte glass bottle but oh well. I saw all the videos online and, as a 43 year old lady saw some pictures and videos that made me run straight here to find some. I swear it works. I’ve been using it on my neck and upper arms (ok I’m legit slathering it from head to toe) and I am DEFINITELY seeing less “crepey neck wobble” and “bat wing arms”!!! I dunno how this magical elixir works, but I’m gonna keep buying it. I e used it on some old bug bite scars and they’re fading some too. My nails are getting longer and my eyebrows and lashes are too!!!! My skin is tighter… more even toned. Cheaper and “healthier” than all the chemicals that are in skincare. With faster more noticeable results. 10/10 Just be careful. You will wanna use it all over cause it works so well. Just watch out when ya sit on the potty or someone sits after you… castor oil+porcelain= a slide to the floor in the middle of the night if you aren’t careful!!! ;)

I use castor oil for a myriad of issues: dry skin, hang nails, winter dry cracked lips, healing cuts, on my eyelashes, on my scalp for thicker hair. I had cold pressed castor oil before and I was really happy with it. I decided to try this and the first thing I noticed is that it's extremely sticky. I was disappointed and almost sent it back. I didn't realize this is not cold pressed-not sure if that's why it's so sticky. The good news is, it rubs in nicely and after it's rubbed in and dry, it's not sticky at all. So, if you give it a couple of minutes to dry, it is fine. So far, so good, it's done a great job with my nails and dry lips are gone right after I put it on. 2ND review, this did not come in a glass bottle as advertised, it came in a plastic bottle. This bottle started leaking very quickly, within a couple of months. I put it in a plastic bag, thinking it would help but it started leaking, too. I later found out castor oil quickly breaks down plastic. I would think the manufacturer of this product would know that. I guess they cheaped out on plastic and now I have a mess on my counter. Most important to note, it is no longer usable because you don't want to be smearing oil with broken down plastics and chemicals into your skin. So No Thanks Plant Therapy.

This is the cleanest tasting castor oil I've found--almost sweet. Externally I use it to quickly heal canker sores, scrapes, sunburn, minimize face lines, etc. Internally it helps aid my digestion and really promote a feeling of well-being (due to all the great things castor oil does for the body). This brand is the only one I'll buy, and the 16 oz bottle lasts a long time.

First, I don't know if all castor oil advertised out there is created equal but I've used Plant Therapy essential oils and products for years and am sold on their purity and efficacy and great customer service. So I chose this one. I started using this lightly on my crepey eyelids and forehead (I mix 1:1 with maracuja oil I get from Amazon - search Leven Rose) and, boy, it's not my imagination. It really evens things out to a noticeable degree. That doesn't happen a lot, ladies.

Normally I buy directly from Plant Therapy for their products, as they are third party tested, but actually found it a little cheaper here this time around. Although their bottle doesn't list directly on the label that it's hexane free, I did double check on their website and it is mentioned there as well. I do wish they would put that on their labels though. As for how I liked their castor oil? It is very thick and tacky feeling, but it absorbs into my skin nicely. I've been using it on my achy joints as well, and it does seem to help. I didn't get immediate relief, but after a couple of days use I did begin to notice a difference. (I'm 62 and have issues with my knees, and shoulders at times.) I am anxious to try the castor oil for it's many other health benefits too.

I use this as my carrier oil, I am trying different carrier oils. I am new to this and wasn’t sure what to use, it thick so there is no running.
