Fantastic mini mouse/keyboard for movie nights
Love, Love, Love! Perfect for multimedia computers where you just want to watch a movie or listen to music. Easy enough to log in and type in passwords. Not great for document creation.

Works as described... it's exactly what I needed.
I have a Fire TV but the remote for it would also turn on the LED lights in my living room any time I turned the TV on. Very annoying stuff. So, I sought to fix this issue with a remote for the TV that didn't rely on whatever radio frequencies normal remote controls transmit. I figured one that connects via wireless USB would do the trick and it did just that. This is much much better than the standard Fire TV controller anyway... the keyboard alone is a godsend. The mouse function would be nice but my Toshiba Fire TV doesn't seem to care about mouse clicks... that's okay because the direction pad works fine. If my Toshiba TV could use the mouse function, that would've been great... it works fine on the manufacturer end of things. People have a gripe that you can't turn the TV off with this remote. That is correct but I am okay with that.... I just rely on the build-in timer for the TV. If I go to the home page of the TV, it will turn off after 5 minutes from inactivity. That's basically a built-in off button right there... I don't need an immediate "off". Plus... I can turn the TV on very easily just by pressing the home button on the keypad. All in all, yes... it would be nice to turn off the TV, and the mouse pad only works with select TVs that can use it (I didn't think to research that before buying)... but all in all this is a 5 star product. For what it's capabilities are... it works very well so far. The controller itself feels like a high quality plastic. The buttons are soft and feel good to press. It makes it quicker to search for shows/movies, which is a time saver in itself. If you need it... buy it... and just accept that your TV will turn off according to your inactivity timer. Great product at a great price.

We bought this as a backup but soon became our primary
So we use these mini keyboards to operate my laptop and watch movies and shows online hooked up to our old school tv that doesn't have all the new features as flat screens do these days. The controller I originally bought and loved so much because it had a scrolling red little thing you could scroll down and up with rather than using your fingers and I Loved it! But unfortunately when I went to buy the backup they were no longer available so we looked and looked and this controller had good reviews so we bought this, crazy enough soon after our other controller no longer worked and this become our primary. It works pretty good overall however I really did like the scrolling button rather than having to use your three fingers or whatever the scroll down the page because it goes too fast sometimes but I've gotten pretty use to it by now, again the controller operators as it should, holds REALLY GOOD battery life and connects flawlessly however I will say one other part I don't like is the fact that the power key on the back of the controller is hard for someone without nails like me to push it over to turn the controller on or off, it's like a hard sliding button you push over to shut off or turn on and that is the worst part about it, I really think they should have made it easier to slide the button because it's pretty hard but luckily the controller also has an auto off feature which is really nice so I can leave the controller on and it will automatically shut off battery use until I push a button any button really, then it's back in action! So overall I give this a four out of five because the back button is hard to move and there is no built in scroll button, you have to tap on the page and then scroll down with the up and down buttons or use your fingers to slide down the page. Not as cool as a slow moving slide button like my other one! But the auto off power and Auto on is a feature that I very much like because we have literally used this for weeks now without charging!!! The yellow charge light has been on for about a week and it still hasn't died ahahaha

Great mini keyboard
Light weight, can easily grab with one hand. Easy to type and can easily find keys in the dark with keyboard lights on. Bluetooth connection is great. Can adjust sound with the keyboard easily. Been using for few weeks now and no issues at all.

Lasted 26 months light use, some glitches
I bought this item on December 28, 2020, and I've had it connected to a small computer about 10' away which is connected to my TV, mostly to watch videos on youtube. The right click button stopped clicking a few days ago and any light touch now triggers. Honestly, for 16ish bucks and 26 months of use, that's not bad, but it is also true I probably used it on average only 1-2 hours per week, which strikes me as not an awesome level of durability. Hence, three stars. The trackpad was a little glitchy and would periodically stop responding. Lifting my finger and starting over would correct it. Given the light use it wasn't enough for me to replace it, but it's another area where I'd give it 3 stars -- it worked adequately, but not head of the class. In some ways, I'm glad it finally broke -- this issue was bad enough to annoy me a little, but not annoying enough to warrant a quick replacement and so I lived with it. Finally though, I have the excuse I need to try a different one! The battery life was no issue for me. I'd turn it off between uses and probably charged it up maybe 1x per month, if that. The backlight was good and made it very easy to type in dim settings -- never had an issue with that. It was very comfortable to hold and thumb typing was fast, easy and accurate. I'm guessing these things will be similar on similar devices sharing this same design, and I don't feel these areas are sufficient to raise the star rating from 3 to a 4, but maybe a 3+ is on order.

Compact and useful keyboard for on-the-go travel...
I was pleasantly surprised with this device, seeing as I wasn't intending to pick one up currently but at the low price during Prime Day I figured it was worth seeing if this wireless mini handheld remote and keyboard unit would work well for my Raspberry Pi at home. The unit is self-contained, the WiFi dongle is enclosed in the back case where the rechargeable batter for the mini keyboard which is easy to remove and replace in one area so as not to misplace the piece when not in regular use. The device is basically plug-and-play since you can just insert the WiFi dongle to your device, in my case my Raspberry Pi, and then turn on the keyboard to connect and use. It navigates smoothly when using the touch-pad above the keyboard or if using with a display interface that allows for arrow key functions you can use the circular navigation button to the left. Now while I enjoy a more traditional keyboard to touch-type on normally, when traveling I don't want to have a large keyboard to carry around unless I expect to do a lot of typing. For those that are more comfortable with the QWERTY style keyboard layout from their times as a Blackberry user, you'll probably feel right at home with this layout. One main feature I enjoy is the smart battery saver, the device will power down when not in direct use or receiving any button or keystroke input which extends battery life between charges. It comes with a USB cable to use in charging the device when it gets low. The three lights under the main left navigation button help to indicate if the device has paired with the WiFi dongle as well as if it is low on power and requiring a charge. Very useful to have so that you don't keep the unit plugged in longer than needed between use or unexpectedly run out of power while in use. The other feature I enjoy is the back-light that can be turned on and off as needed. This allows for battery conservation when you already have proper lighting to view the keys when using the keyboard. It's pretty compact and easy to fit in a small bag when on-the-go and slim enough to keep flat with the rest of any digital gear.

works well with fire tv
Bought this to replace the standard fire tv remote. It's doing a great job and making navigation MUCH easier. Took a chance, given the low price, but it's built well and works out of the box. plugged in the receiver and was off to the races. Yes, you can't turn on the tv with this, because your tv usb port is probably not powered when your tv is off. now, the trackpad. I hate trackpads, but this one is awesome. very responsive and useful. i like its rougher texture. overall a great purchase. You just need your remote to turn tv on. oh, and the keys are the gummy ones, but they provide a nice "click" when you press them, not the usual cheap feeling u get with those kinds of keys.

Nice feel, but 2 small gripes...
POSITIVES: I like the shape and the form factor of the keyboard, I use it often at work when I give presentations and need to edit PowerPoint slides real-time or navigate web pages in front of an audience. I also use it at home with my NUC plugged into my HDTV. The backlight is perfect for dark conference rooms or for a darkened living room. The right and left click mouse buttons are perfectly placed and easy to use, and the touchpad is responsive and works well. The volume buttons are in the right place too. NEUTRAL: I have a mixed response to the USB charging - my other mini keyboard runs on AAA batteries which are easy to change out. If I forget to charge this keyboard and it runs out of power, I have to plug it in to a USB port and wait. I also have a mixed response to the up/down buttons for page scrolling - my other mini keyboard has up/down buttons and a slide feature built into the touchpad, which is really handy for scrolling. I use both depending on the page when I use that keyboard, but I miss having the feature when I use this one. NEGATIVES: 1) The "u" key is hard to engage, I can type normally with every other key but I have to hold the "u" for an extra second to make sure it engages. A nice feature is the blue light blinks to let you know the key has been engaged, so as I type I look at the keyboard to make sure the "u" was engaged. I'm sure this is just a quirk of the one I received, but it is annoying. 2) There is only one "SHIFT" key, and it is on the left side of the keyboard. If I have to type a capital A, Q, or any other key on the left side, I tend to want to use my right thumb to press SHIFT and press the key with my left thumb. Instead, I have to bring my right thumb all the way over to the left side of the keyboard - it does not feel natural and slows me down. I also have a rectangular "candy bar" style mini keyboard that I use (you can easily find it on Amazon for comparison). It has two SHIFT keys and a handy slide on the touchpad to scroll up/down but is not as comfortable to hold as this keyboard is. My ideal keyboard would have that keyboard's extra keys and layout blended with this keyboard's form factor.
