Japanese Incense Rose Sawayaka Smokeless #195 by Baieido

I'm Hindu and make offerings of incense daily, so I take my incense game pretty seriously. Usually I stick to very smokey, spicier, stronger Indian incenses, because that's what I enjoy! However, my husband and I are moving to live with his brother and wife, who are pretty sensitive to strong smells, smoke. I'm confident these sticks will work perfectly in the new home, there is very little smoke, if any! The scent is clean, uplifting and strong enough for my taste but not overpowering for sensitive noses/lungs. The scent doesn't last too long after burning (maybe 15 20 mins? imo) which is great in this instance, exactly what I'm looking for. Even if I could go back to burning super smokey incenses again, I would still buy and burn this one every once in a while, it's quite lovely!

It burns for a limited time. Does not leave smoke and does not leave a lingering smell. The only problem is that it is hard to mount in an incense stand because it does not have the bare stick. Outside of that, everything is great.

These are short style sticks, ~5.25" long. They are truly smokeless, and they last pretty long, ~45min. Personally, the scent is still a bit too strong, although pleasant. May want to use it for a larger room if sensitive to perfume/scents.

I get headaches with floral scents, but this is so gentle. It smells great and burns very quickly. The scent isn't very strong, like it won't make them entire room smell of rose.

I have been using several types of Baieido incense for 15 years and Rose Sawayaka Smokeless is my favorite. It has a pleasant and delicate rose aroma that doesn't irritate my throat as other incense sometimes does. I can burn 10 - 12 sticks one after another for 5 - 6 hours without getting a scratchy throat. It is virtually smokeless, the very faint smoke it gives out is almost undetectable. The sticks are well made, have uniform consistency and are easy to handle. Each stick is about 8" long, 1/16" thick, and burns for 30 minutes. This is the large-size box and contains over 200 sticks. The seller is in Japan so delivery took 3 weeks, but it's worth the wait.

This incense is truly smokeless and the smell is gentle. I would say the smell is more of a peony rather than rose and the smell is not overwhelming. It’s enough to offer a gentle scent across a small room but not enough for a full size living room/store. Longevity wise, 1 stick lasts around 20 minutes or so, which is ok because I only need it for a short time. Great incense for people with sensitive nose or asthma.

I love this incense. I will order again. The scent is subtle, working perfectly for my sensitive noses. The seller did put in lot of care in packaging. I was very pleased when I opened the package, unlike some other sellers I got in the past who were very careless with packaging (They just threw in the incense boxes in the brown shipping boxes without any kind of buffer, bubbles or cushion, causing a lot of incenses to be broken.)

I've had this box unopened for months. I was trying to use up the last of my old box of incense which I've had for over a year. I decided to ditch that incense and open this box. Boy am I glad I did! The scent is very unassuming, floral, and gentle. It still lingers even after the incense has burned. This is definitely my new favourite everyday altar incense.
