Q: Does this unit have a "release pressure valve" (used for expelling air safely from container before opening)?

No. It does not have a release valve. You have to turn the handle to release the pressure. Use caution if you are using dangerous chemicals as it can blow back at you.

Q: Could we use this to spray pesticides as mist? If yes, then how can we do that setting as I tried, but couldn't find such setting of nozzle.

I wanted it to mist too, but couldn't get it to do that. Even if you adjust the nozzle to spray as opposed to stream, it's still not exactly a fine mist.

Q: Does anyone know how many SQFT two gallons will cover?

It will vary based on the product you are using so read the directions carefully for every product you spray. But in general, 1 gallon for 1,000 sq. ft. That said, I just used it on a lawn bowling green which is about 14,000 sq. ft. The pesticide I used said 1 gallon to cover 1,000 sq. ft. That would have been 12 gallons to cover the green, but when I had finished I used half that amount. This may have been because I walked too fast (I walked about the pace I do when I spread fertilizer). So, depending on how fast you walk, how comprehensive you want your coverage to be, and what the pesticide label suggest, I would say 1 gallon covers at least 1,000 sq. ft and at most 2,000 sq. ft. I also recommend using a dye/colorant so you can tell where you have sprayed and how think the coverage is.

Q: Where is it made? China?

China/USA, either way..horrible product. Brand new from the box and wouldn't spray even a drop. Absolute waste.
