Good stuff
Good stuff. Thick application needed for maximum shine. 11 cans required for our 30 year old 4runner application. Looks good. Easy to apply.

Great clear
Really worked as advertised. Cans came all in tact and the results were better than I thought. I used 5 cans to paint my bike and the gloss was perfect. No overspray runoff

Works like a charm
These USC 2K clear coat cans are amazing. I've probably used 2 dozen of them by now. I find that they are very forgiving in almost every way. The have great adhesion even if you didn't prepare the surface quite like you should. It's not as durable as an auto body shop paint job, but is certainly much more durable than your typical rattle can clear coat. It cures pretty quickly and is probably fine to handle in an hour or less most of the time. However, like most 2 part products, full cure seems to come a couple of weeks after you spray. I just take care to handle them gently for a while but don't hesitate to use the sprayed parts after 24 hours. Back to the forgiving part. I know it's ill-advised, but I've even spray this stuff in 45F weather in a pinch and still had no problems getting it to cure. It might take a little longer but it still does it no problem. In the past when I've tried that I'd get haze in the clear or it would just stay tacky forever. I don't like to do that kind of thing, but this product will let you. One tip I have for the pot life, since it is only 48 hours after you activate the cartridge--if you know you'll need to use the can past the 48 hour mark, stick it in the freezer after every use. After I apply a coat, I put the whole aerosol can in a brown paper bag and then stick it right in the freezer. When I need to use it again I take it out of the freezer and let it come to room temp for a few hours. If I need to use it quickly I just run the can under hot water from the kitchen faucet for a few minutes. Warming it up again is vital to getting it to atomize and spray correctly again. Using this freeze method though, I've had cans work well past the 96 hour mark on many occasions and it has never been an issue. Price is the only bad part about this product.

Great clear for just about anything if you do this...
I've been using this clear since I started building guitars. It never failed delivering great results even on windy days! Before I use it I wrap the can in a heating blanket that I got here on AMZ. I used to just pour some hot water in a pot and let it heat up a little bit. This will increase the pressure of the can. Be carefully no overheat it though. This will allow even higer pressure saving the liquid inside the can with awesome results. I started using it as a grain filler since it doesn't shrink as much as other products. I spray light coat, then wait 10-15 minutes depending on temperature, then spray heavy coats, letting it flash for 10-15 minutes. For best results aftet last coat I don't go lower tan 1500 grit before buffing. I sprayed this outside in the winter, the outside temperature was around 30 degrees, let it cure inside for a day or so. And ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY EQUIPMENT! Good respirator and safety glasses are a must! I've been using a full face mask/respirator.

Rotate the Spray Nozzle or Ruin the Project
Great paint concept and liquid components. However, the spray nozzle (in its factory position) will fill the can top inside lip and spray button cavity with paint. It will then drip out onto your project while you spray and ruin not only your clear coat, but your base(s) as well. Rotate the spray nozzle 45 degrees to minimize this issue or it’ll get frustrating, time consuming and expensive. Also, shake out the nozzle area routinely while you paint. The spray pressure is great, but the delivery canister makes the process more difficult than it should be. I could have gotten 5 coats per can on this 300 rear fender but didn’t want to risk paint sputtering at the bottom of the can.

Expensive but worth it
I had painted an old Honda ATC fuel tank with Rustolem paint. It looked perfect and i let it cure for over a month. As soon as it got fuel on it, it bubbled and peeled. I was so angry. I thought to try this. Solved. As you can imagine, no matter how careful one is when filling fuel tank- there will be some on tank. This paint is incredible. Glossy and holds up to all the spills i have thrown at it. Well-worth the price for this reason alone.
